<chapeau style="-uslm-lc:I11" class="indent0">The Secretary of Defense may—</chapeau><paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id82e9769b-ec38-11e5-a7c9-8f2c075e98f6" identifier="/us/usc/t10/s451/1"><num value="1">(1)</num><content> have the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency prepare maps, charts, and nautical books required in navigation and have those materials published and furnished to navigators; and</content>

<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id82e9769c-ec38-11e5-a7c9-8f2c075e98f6" identifier="/us/usc/t10/s451/2"><num value="2">(2)</num><content> buy the plates and copyrights of existing maps, charts, books on navigation, and sailing directions and instructions.</content>
