If the violation results in serious bodily injury (as defined in <ref href=\"/us/usc/t18/s1365\">section 1365 of this title</ref>), such person shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than 20 years, or both; and if the violation results in death, such person shall be fined under this title, or imprisoned for any term of years or for life, or both.</continuation>\n</subsection>\n<subsection style=\"-uslm-lc:I11\" class=\"indent0\" id=\"id74ab5da4-3b28-11eb-ad8c-9fba61cd9daf\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t18/s1347/b\"><num value=\"b\">(b)</num><content> With respect to violations of this section, a person need not have actual knowledge of this section or specific intent to commit a violation of this section.</content>\n</subsection>\n<sourceCredit id=\"id74ab5da5-3b28-11eb-ad8c-9fba61cd9daf\">(Added <ref href=\"/us/pl/104/191/tII/s242/a/1\">Pub.
