<section xmlns="http://xml.house.gov/schemas/uslm/1.0" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/" xmlns:dcterms="http://purl.org/dc/terms/" style="-uslm-lc:I80" id="id74532b32-3b28-11eb-ad8c-9fba61cd9daf" identifier="/us/usc/t18/s213"><num value="213">§ 213.</num><heading> Acceptance of loan or gratuity by financial institution examiner</heading><subsection style="-uslm-lc:I11" class="indent0" id="id74532b33-3b28-11eb-ad8c-9fba61cd9daf" identifier="/us/usc/t18/s213/a"><num value="a">(a)</num><heading> <inline class="small-caps">In General</inline>.—</heading><chapeau>Whoever, being an examiner or assistant examiner, accepts a loan or gratuity from any bank, branch, agency, organization, corporation, association, or institution examined by the examiner or from any person connected with it, shall—</chapeau><paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id74532b34-3b28-11eb-ad8c-9fba61cd9daf" identifier="/us/usc/t18/s213/a/1"><num value="1">(1)</num><content> be fined under this title, imprisoned not more than 1 year, or both;</content>
</paragraph>
<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id74532b35-3b28-11eb-ad8c-9fba61cd9daf" identifier="/us/usc/t18/s213/a/2"><num value="2">(2)</num><content> may be fined a further sum equal to the money so loaned or gratuity given; and</content>

<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id74532b36-3b28-11eb-ad8c-9fba61cd9daf" identifier="/us/usc/t18/s213/a/3"><num value="3">(3)</num><content> shall be disqualified from holding office as an examiner.</content>
