<section xmlns="http://xml.house.gov/schemas/uslm/1.0" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/" xmlns:dcterms="http://purl.org/dc/terms/" style="-uslm-lc:I80" id="id751457e5-3b28-11eb-ad8c-9fba61cd9daf" identifier="/us/usc/t18/s2335"><num value="2335">§ 2335.</num><heading> Limitation of actions</heading><subsection style="-uslm-lc:I11" class="indent0" id="id751457e6-3b28-11eb-ad8c-9fba61cd9daf" identifier="/us/usc/t18/s2335/a"><num value="a">(a)</num><heading> <inline class="small-caps">In General</inline>.—</heading><content>Subject to subsection (b), a suit for recovery of damages under <ref href="/us/usc/t18/s2333">section 2333 of this title</ref> shall not be maintained unless commenced within 10 years after the date the cause of action accrued.</content>

<subsection style="-uslm-lc:I11" class="indent0" id="id751457e7-3b28-11eb-ad8c-9fba61cd9daf" identifier="/us/usc/t18/s2335/b"><num value="b">(b)</num><heading> <inline class="small-caps">Calculation of Period</inline>.—</heading><content>The time of the absence of the defendant from the United States or from any jurisdiction in which the same or a similar action arising from the same facts may be maintained by the plaintiff, or of any concealment of the defendant’s whereabouts, shall not be included in the 10-year period set forth in subsection (a).</content>
