<section xmlns="http://xml.house.gov/schemas/uslm/1.0" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/" xmlns:dcterms="http://purl.org/dc/terms/" style="-uslm-lc:I80" id="id849adbfa-4631-11e3-82e4-c7c00c991bd6" identifier="/us/usc/t18/s3063"><num value="3063">§ 3063.</num><heading> Powers of Environmental Protection Agency</heading><subsection style="-uslm-lc:I11" class="indent0" id="id849adbfb-4631-11e3-82e4-c7c00c991bd6" identifier="/us/usc/t18/s3063/a"><num value="a">(a)</num><chapeau> Upon designation by the Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency, any law enforcement officer of the Environmental Protection Agency with responsibility for the investigation of criminal violations of a law administered by the Environmental Protection Agency, may—</chapeau><paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id849adbfc-4631-11e3-82e4-c7c00c991bd6" identifier="/us/usc/t18/s3063/a/1"><num value="1">(1)</num><content> carry firearms;</content>
</paragraph>
<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id849adbfd-4631-11e3-82e4-c7c00c991bd6" identifier="/us/usc/t18/s3063/a/2"><num value="2">(2)</num><content> execute and serve any warrant or other processes issued under the authority of the United States; and</content>

<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id849adbfe-4631-11e3-82e4-c7c00c991bd6" identifier="/us/usc/t18/s3063/a/3"><num value="3">(3)</num><chapeau> make arrests without warrant for—</chapeau><subparagraph style="-uslm-lc:I13" class="indent2" id="id849adbff-4631-11e3-82e4-c7c00c991bd6" identifier="/us/usc/t18/s3063/a/3/A"><num value="A">(A)</num><content> any offense against the United States committed in such officer’s presence; or</content>
</subparagraph>
<subparagraph style="-uslm-lc:I13" class="indent2" id="id849adc00-4631-11e3-82e4-c7c00c991bd6" identifier="/us/usc/t18/s3063/a/3/B"><num value="B">(B)</num><content> any felony offense against the United States if such officer has probable cause to believe that the person to be arrested has committed or is committing that felony offense.</content>

</subsection>
<subsection style="-uslm-lc:I11" class="indent0" id="id849adc01-4631-11e3-82e4-c7c00c991bd6" identifier="/us/usc/t18/s3063/b"><num value="b">(b)</num><content> The powers granted under subsection (a) of this section shall be exercised in accordance with guidelines approved by the Attorney General.</content>
