or</content>\n</paragraph>\n<paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"id7543f2a0-3b28-11eb-ad8c-9fba61cd9daf\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t18/s3322/a/2\"><num value=\"2\">(2)</num><content> disclosed under rule 6(e)(3)(A)(ii) of the Federal Rules of Criminal Procedure;</content>\n</paragraph>\n\n<continuation style=\"-uslm-lc:I10\" class=\"indent0 firstIndent0\">may disclose that information to an attorney for the government for use in enforcing section 951 of the Financial Institutions Reform, Recovery and Enforcement Act of 1989 or for use in connection with any civil forfeiture provision of Federal law.</continuation>\n</subsection>\n<subsection style=\"-uslm-lc:I11\" class=\"indent0\" id=\"id7543f2a1-3b28-11eb-ad8c-9fba61cd9daf\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t18/s3322/b\"><num value=\"b\">(b)</num><paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I11\" class=\"indent0\" id=\"id7543f2a2-3b28-11eb-ad8c-9fba61cd9daf\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t18/s3322/b/1\"><num value=\"1\">(1)</num><chapeau> Upon motion of an attorney for the government, a court may direct disclosure of matters occurring before a grand jury during an investigation of a banking law violation to identified personnel of a Federal or State financial institution regulatory agency—</chapeau><subparagraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"id7543f2a3-3b28-11eb-ad8c-9fba61cd9daf\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t18/s3322/b/1/A\"><num value=\"A\">(A)</num><content> for use in relation to any matter within the jurisdiction of such regulatory agency; or</content>\n</subparagraph>\n<subparagraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"id7543f2a4-3b28-11eb-ad8c-9fba61cd9daf\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t18/s3322/b/1/B\"><num value=\"B\">(B)</num><content> to assist an attorney for the government to whom matters have been disclosed under subsection (a).</content>\n</subparagraph>\n</paragraph>\n<paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I11\" class=\"indent0\" id=\"id7543f2a5-3b28-11eb-ad8c-9fba61cd9daf\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t18/s3322/b/2\"><num value=\"2\">(2)</num><content> A court may issue an order under paragraph (1) at any time during or after the completion of the investigation of the grand jury, upon a finding of a substantial need.</content>\n</paragraph>\n</subsection>\n<subsection style=\"-uslm-lc:I11\" class=\"indent0\" id=\"id7543f2a6-3b28-11eb-ad8c-9fba61cd9daf\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t18/s3322/c\"><num value=\"c\">(c)</num><content> A person to whom matter has been disclosed under this section shall not use such matter other than for the purpose for which such disclosure was authorized.</content>\n</subsection>\n<subsection style=\"-uslm-lc:I11\" class=\"indent0\" id=\"id7543f2a7-3b28-11eb-ad8c-9fba61cd9daf\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t18/s3322/d\"><num value=\"d\">(d)</num><chapeau> As used in this section—</chapeau><paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"id7543f2a8-3b28-11eb-ad8c-9fba61cd9daf\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t18/s3322/d/1\"><num value=\"1\">(1)</num><chapeau> the term “banking law violation” means a violation of, or a conspiracy to violate—</chapeau><subparagraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I13\" class=\"indent2\" id=\"id7543f2a9-3b28-11eb-ad8c-9fba61cd9daf\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t18/s3322/d/1/A\"><num value=\"A\">(A)</num><content> section 215, 656, 657, 1005, 1006, 1007, 1014, 1344, 1956, or 1957;</content>\n</subparagraph>\n<subparagraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I13\" class=\"indent2\" id=\"id7543f2aa-3b28-11eb-ad8c-9fba61cd9daf\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t18/s3322/d/1/B\"><num value=\"B\">(B)</num><content> section 1341 or 1343 affecting a financial institution; or</content>\n</subparagraph>\n<subparagraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I13\" class=\"indent2\" id=\"id7543f2ab-3b28-11eb-ad8c-9fba61cd9daf\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t18/s3322/d/1/C\"><num value=\"C\">(C)</num><content> any provision of subchapter II of chapter 53 of title 31, United States Code;</content>\n</subparagraph>\n</paragraph>\n<paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"id7543f2ac-3b28-11eb-ad8c-9fba61cd9daf\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t18/s3322/d/2\"><num value=\"2\">(2)</num><content> the term “attorney for the government” has the meaning given such term in the Federal Rules of Criminal Procedure; and</content>\n</paragraph>\n<paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"id7543f2ad-3b28-11eb-ad8c-9fba61cd9daf\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t18/s3322/d/3\"><num value=\"3\">(3)</num><content> the term “grand jury information” means matters occurring before a grand jury other than the deliberations of the grand jury or the vote of any grand juror.</content>\n</paragraph>\n</subsection>\n<sourceCredit id=\"id7543f2ae-3b28-11eb-ad8c-9fba61cd9daf\">(Added <ref href=\"/us/pl/101/73/tIX/s964/a\">Pub.
