<section xmlns="http://xml.house.gov/schemas/uslm/1.0" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/" xmlns:dcterms="http://purl.org/dc/terms/" style="-uslm-lc:I80" id="id7463f343-3b28-11eb-ad8c-9fba61cd9daf" identifier="/us/usc/t18/s470"><num value="470">§ 470.</num><heading> Counterfeit acts committed outside the United States</heading>
<chapeau style="-uslm-lc:I11" class="indent0">A person who, outside the United States, engages in the act of—</chapeau><paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id7463f344-3b28-11eb-ad8c-9fba61cd9daf" identifier="/us/usc/t18/s470/1"><num value="1">(1)</num><content> making, dealing, or possessing any counterfeit obligation or other security of the United States; or</content>
</paragraph>
<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id7463f345-3b28-11eb-ad8c-9fba61cd9daf" identifier="/us/usc/t18/s470/2"><num value="2">(2)</num><content> making, dealing, or possessing any plate, stone, analog, digital, or electronic image, or other thing, or any part thereof, used to counterfeit such obligation or security,</content>

<continuation style="-uslm-lc:I10" class="indent0 firstIndent0">if such act would constitute a violation of section 471, 473, or 474 if committed within the United States, shall be punished as is provided for the like offense within the United States.</continuation>
