<section xmlns="http://xml.house.gov/schemas/uslm/1.0" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/" xmlns:dcterms="http://purl.org/dc/terms/" style="-uslm-lc:I80" id="id67ee6eb6-22ee-11e8-8504-89ef3012ed82" identifier="/us/usc/t19/s2467"><num value="2467">§ 2467.</num><heading> Definitions</heading>
<chapeau style="-uslm-lc:I11" class="indent0">For purposes of this subchapter:</chapeau><paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I79" class="indent3 firstIndent-2" id="id67ee6eb7-22ee-11e8-8504-89ef3012ed82" identifier="/us/usc/t19/s2467/1"><num value="1" class="bold">(1)</num><heading class="bold"> Beneficiary developing country</heading><content><p style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1">The term “beneficiary developing country” means any country with respect to which there is in effect an Executive order or Presidential proclamation by the President designating such country as a beneficiary developing country for purposes of this subchapter.</p>

<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I79" class="indent3 firstIndent-2" id="id67ee6eb8-22ee-11e8-8504-89ef3012ed82" identifier="/us/usc/t19/s2467/2"><num value="2" class="bold">(2)</num><heading class="bold"> Country</heading><content><p style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1">The term “country” means any foreign country or territory, including any overseas dependent territory or possession of a foreign country, or the Trust Territory of the Pacific Islands. In the case of an association of countries which is a free trade area or customs union, or which is contributing to comprehensive regional economic integration among its members through appropriate means, including, but not limited to, the reduction of duties, the President may by Executive order or Presidential proclamation provide that all members of such association other than members which are barred from designation under <ref href="/us/usc/t19/s2462/b">section 2462(b) of this title</ref> shall be treated as one country for purposes of this subchapter.</p>

<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I79" class="indent3 firstIndent-2" id="id67ee6eb9-22ee-11e8-8504-89ef3012ed82" identifier="/us/usc/t19/s2467/3"><num value="3" class="bold">(3)</num><heading class="bold"> Entered</heading><content><p style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1">The term “entered” means entered, or withdrawn from warehouse for consumption, in the customs territory of the United States.</p>

<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I79" class="indent3 firstIndent-2" id="id67ee6eba-22ee-11e8-8504-89ef3012ed82" identifier="/us/usc/t19/s2467/4"><num value="4" class="bold">(4)</num><heading class="bold"> Internationally recognized worker rights</heading><chapeau>The term “internationally recognized worker rights” includes—</chapeau><subparagraph style="-uslm-lc:I13" class="indent2" id="id67ee6ebb-22ee-11e8-8504-89ef3012ed82" identifier="/us/usc/t19/s2467/4/A"><num value="A">(A)</num><content> the right of association;</content>
</subparagraph>
<subparagraph style="-uslm-lc:I13" class="indent2" id="id67ee6ebc-22ee-11e8-8504-89ef3012ed82" identifier="/us/usc/t19/s2467/4/B"><num value="B">(B)</num><content> the right to organize and bargain collectively;</content>
</subparagraph>
<subparagraph style="-uslm-lc:I13" class="indent2" id="id67ee6ebd-22ee-11e8-8504-89ef3012ed82" identifier="/us/usc/t19/s2467/4/C"><num value="C">(C)</num><content> a prohibition on the use of any form of forced or compulsory labor;</content>
</subparagraph>
<subparagraph style="-uslm-lc:I13" class="indent2" id="id67ee6ebe-22ee-11e8-8504-89ef3012ed82" identifier="/us/usc/t19/s2467/4/D"><num value="D">(D)</num><content> a minimum age for the employment of children, and a prohibition on the worst forms of child labor, as defined in paragraph (6); and</content>
</subparagraph>
<subparagraph style="-uslm-lc:I13" class="indent2" id="id67ee6ebf-22ee-11e8-8504-89ef3012ed82" identifier="/us/usc/t19/s2467/4/E"><num value="E">(E)</num><content> acceptable conditions of work with respect to minimum wages, hours of work, and occupational safety and health.</content>
</subparagraph>
</paragraph>
<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I79" class="indent3 firstIndent-2" id="id67ee95d0-22ee-11e8-8504-89ef3012ed82" identifier="/us/usc/t19/s2467/5"><num value="5" class="bold">(5)</num><heading class="bold"> Least-developed beneficiary developing country</heading><content><p style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1">The term “least-developed beneficiary developing country” means a beneficiary developing country that is designated as a least-developed beneficiary developing country under <ref href="/us/usc/t19/s2462/a/2">section 2462(a)(2) of this title</ref>.</p>

<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I79" class="indent3 firstIndent-2" id="id67ee95d1-22ee-11e8-8504-89ef3012ed82" identifier="/us/usc/t19/s2467/6"><num value="6" class="bold">(6)</num><heading class="bold"> Worst forms of child labor</heading><chapeau>The term “worst forms of child labor” means—</chapeau><subparagraph style="-uslm-lc:I13" class="indent2" id="id67ee95d2-22ee-11e8-8504-89ef3012ed82" identifier="/us/usc/t19/s2467/6/A"><num value="A">(A)</num><content> all forms of slavery or practices similar to slavery, such as the sale or trafficking of children, debt bondage and serfdom, or forced or compulsory labor, including forced or compulsory recruitment of children for use in armed conflict;</content>
</subparagraph>
<subparagraph style="-uslm-lc:I13" class="indent2" id="id67ee95d3-22ee-11e8-8504-89ef3012ed82" identifier="/us/usc/t19/s2467/6/B"><num value="B">(B)</num><content> the use, procuring, or offering of a child for prostitution, for the production of pornography or for pornographic purposes;</content>
</subparagraph>
<subparagraph style="-uslm-lc:I13" class="indent2" id="id67ee95d4-22ee-11e8-8504-89ef3012ed82" identifier="/us/usc/t19/s2467/6/C"><num value="C">(C)</num><content> the use, procuring, or offering of a child for illicit activities in particular for the production and trafficking of drugs; and</content>
</subparagraph>
<subparagraph style="-uslm-lc:I13" class="indent2" id="id67ee95d5-22ee-11e8-8504-89ef3012ed82" identifier="/us/usc/t19/s2467/6/D"><num value="D">(D)</num><content> work which, by its nature or the circumstances in which it is carried out, is likely to harm the health, safety, or morals of children.</content>
</subparagraph>

<continuation style="-uslm-lc:I17" class="indent1 firstIndent0">The work referred to in subparagraph (D) shall be determined by the laws, regulations, or competent authority of the beneficiary developing country involved.</continuation>
