<section xmlns="http://xml.house.gov/schemas/uslm/1.0" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/" xmlns:dcterms="http://purl.org/dc/terms/" style="-uslm-lc:I80" id="id18360812-425e-11e3-8d4d-f11243cf9240" identifier="/us/usc/t2/s104e"><num value="104e">§ 104e.</num><heading> Posting of travel and financial disclosure reports on public website of Clerk of the House of Representatives</heading><subsection style="-uslm-lc:I19" class="indent2 firstIndent-2" id="id18360813-425e-11e3-8d4d-f11243cf9240" identifier="/us/usc/t2/s104e/a"><num value="a" class="bold">(a)</num><heading class="bold"> Requiring posting on Internet</heading><chapeau>The Clerk of the House of Representatives shall post on the public Internet site of the Office of the Clerk, in a format that is searchable, sortable, and downloadable, to the extent technically practicable, each of the following:</chapeau><paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id18360814-425e-11e3-8d4d-f11243cf9240" identifier="/us/usc/t2/s104e/a/1"><num value="1">(1)</num><content> The advance authorizations, certifications, and disclosures filed with respect to transportation, lodging, and related expenses for travel under clause 5(b) of rule XXV of the Rules of the House of Representatives by Members (including Delegates and Resident Commissioners to the Congress), officers, and employees of the House.</content>
</paragraph>
<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id18360815-425e-11e3-8d4d-f11243cf9240" identifier="/us/usc/t2/s104e/a/2"><num value="2">(2)</num><content> The reports filed under section 103(h)(1) of the Ethics in Government Act of 1978 by Members of the House of Representatives (including Delegates and Resident Commissioners to the Congress).</content>

<subsection style="-uslm-lc:I19" class="indent2 firstIndent-2" id="id18360816-425e-11e3-8d4d-f11243cf9240" identifier="/us/usc/t2/s104e/b"><num value="b" class="bold">(b)</num><heading class="bold"> Applicability and timing</heading><paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I79" class="indent3 firstIndent-2" id="id18360817-425e-11e3-8d4d-f11243cf9240" identifier="/us/usc/t2/s104e/b/1"><num value="1" class="bold">(1)</num><heading class="bold"> Applicability</heading><content><p style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1">Subject to paragraph (2), subsection (a) shall apply with respect to information received by the Clerk of the House of Representatives on or after <date date="2007-09-14">September 14, 2007</date>.</p>

<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I79" class="indent3 firstIndent-2" id="id18360818-425e-11e3-8d4d-f11243cf9240" identifier="/us/usc/t2/s104e/b/2"><num value="2" class="bold">(2)</num><heading class="bold"> Timing</heading><chapeau>The Clerk of the House of Representatives shall—</chapeau><subparagraph style="-uslm-lc:I13" class="indent2" id="id18360819-425e-11e3-8d4d-f11243cf9240" identifier="/us/usc/t2/s104e/b/2/A"><num value="A">(A)</num><content> not later than <date date="2008-08-01">August 1, 2008</date>, post the information required by subsection (a) that the Clerk receives by <date date="2008-06-01">June 1, 2008</date>; and</content>
</subparagraph>
<subparagraph style="-uslm-lc:I13" class="indent2" id="id1836081a-425e-11e3-8d4d-f11243cf9240" identifier="/us/usc/t2/s104e/b/2/B"><num value="B">(B)</num><content> not later than the end of each 45-day period occurring after information is required to be posted under subparagraph (A), post the information required by subsection (a) that the Clerk has received since the last posting under this subsection.</content>

</paragraph>
<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I79" class="indent3 firstIndent-2" id="id1836081b-425e-11e3-8d4d-f11243cf9240" identifier="/us/usc/t2/s104e/b/3"><num value="3" class="bold">(3)</num><heading class="bold"> Omission of personally identifiable information</heading><content><p style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1">Members of the House of Representatives (including Delegates and Resident Commissioners to the Congress) shall be permitted to omit personally identifiable information not required to be disclosed on the reports posted on the public Internet site under this section (such as home address, Social Security numbers, personal bank account numbers, home telephone, and names of children) prior to the posting of such reports on such public Internet site.</p>

<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I79" class="indent3 firstIndent-2" id="id1836081c-425e-11e3-8d4d-f11243cf9240" identifier="/us/usc/t2/s104e/b/4"><num value="4" class="bold">(4)</num><heading class="bold"> Assistance in protecting personal information</heading><content><p style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1">The Clerk of the House of Representatives, in consultation with the Committee on Standards of Official Conduct, shall include in any informational materials concerning any disclosure that will be posted on the public Internet site under this section an explanation of the procedures for protecting personally identifiable information as described in this section.</p>

<subsection style="-uslm-lc:I19" class="indent2 firstIndent-2" id="id1836081d-425e-11e3-8d4d-f11243cf9240" identifier="/us/usc/t2/s104e/c"><num value="c" class="bold">(c)</num><heading class="bold"> Retention</heading><content><p style="-uslm-lc:I11" class="indent0">The Clerk shall maintain the information posted on the public Internet site of the Office of the Clerk under this section for a period of 6 years after receiving the information, or, in the case of reports filed under section 103(h)(1) of the Ethics in Government Act of 1978, until the expiration of the 6-year period which begins on the date the individual is no longer a Member of Congress.</p>
