The Librarian shall by regulation and in accordance with title 17 provide for reasonable access to the sound recordings and other materials in such collection for scholarly and research purposes.</p>\n</content>\n</subsection>\n<subsection style=\"-uslm-lc:I19\" class=\"indent2 firstIndent-2\" id=\"id5d65e379-ec38-11e5-89e9-afe61b29b17d\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t2/s1704/b\"><num value=\"b\" class=\"bold\">(b)</num><heading class=\"bold\"> Acquisition of quality copies</heading><paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I79\" class=\"indent3 firstIndent-2\" id=\"id5d65e37a-ec38-11e5-89e9-afe61b29b17d\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t2/s1704/b/1\"><num value=\"1\" class=\"bold\">(1)</num><heading class=\"bold\"> In general</heading><content><p style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\">The Librarian shall seek to obtain, by gift from the owner, a quality copy of the Registry version of each sound recording included in the National Recording Registry.</p>\n</content>\n</paragraph>\n<paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I79\" class=\"indent3 firstIndent-2\" id=\"id5d65e37b-ec38-11e5-89e9-afe61b29b17d\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t2/s1704/b/2\"><num value=\"2\" class=\"bold\">(2)</num><heading class=\"bold\"> Limit on number of copies</heading><content><p style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\">Not more than one copy of the same version or take of any sound recording may be preserved in the National Recording Registry.
