<section xmlns="http://xml.house.gov/schemas/uslm/1.0" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/" xmlns:dcterms="http://purl.org/dc/terms/" style="-uslm-lc:I80" id="id436d28b1-3b28-11eb-b57d-ac6ded64e2e5" identifier="/us/usc/t2/s1952"><num value="1952">§ 1952.</num><heading> Payments from Fund for families of Detective Gibson and Private First Class Chestnut and certain other United States Capitol Police employees</heading><subsection style="-uslm-lc:I19" class="indent2 firstIndent-2" id="id436d28b2-3b28-11eb-b57d-ac6ded64e2e5" identifier="/us/usc/t2/s1952/a"><num value="a" class="bold">(a)</num><heading class="bold"> In general</heading><chapeau style="-uslm-lc:I11" class="indent0">Except to the extent used or reserved for use under subsection (b) and subject to the regulations issued under <ref href="/us/usc/t2/s1954">section 1954 of this title</ref>, amounts in the Fund shall be paid to the families of Detective John Michael Gibson and Private First Class Jacob Joseph Chestnut of the United States Capitol Police as follows:</chapeau><paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id436d28b3-3b28-11eb-b57d-ac6ded64e2e5" identifier="/us/usc/t2/s1952/a/1"><num value="1">(1)</num><content> Fifty percent of such amounts shall be paid to the widow and children of Detective Gibson.</content>

<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id436d28b4-3b28-11eb-b57d-ac6ded64e2e5" identifier="/us/usc/t2/s1952/a/2"><num value="2">(2)</num><content> Fifty percent of such amounts shall be paid to the widow and children of Private First Class Chestnut.</content>

<subsection style="-uslm-lc:I19" class="indent2 firstIndent-2" id="id436d28b5-3b28-11eb-b57d-ac6ded64e2e5" identifier="/us/usc/t2/s1952/b"><num value="b" class="bold">(b)</num><heading class="bold"> Payments for employees killed in the line of duty or sustaining serious line-of-duty injuries</heading><chapeau style="-uslm-lc:I11" class="indent0">In addition to the amounts paid under subsection (a), and in accordance with the regulations issued under <ref href="/us/usc/t2/s1954/b">section 1954(b) of this title</ref>, amounts in the Fund may be paid to—</chapeau><paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id436d28b6-3b28-11eb-b57d-ac6ded64e2e5" identifier="/us/usc/t2/s1952/b/1"><num value="1">(1)</num><content> families of employees of the United States Capitol Police who were killed in the line of duty; or</content>
</paragraph>
<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id436d28b7-3b28-11eb-b57d-ac6ded64e2e5" identifier="/us/usc/t2/s1952/b/2"><num value="2">(2)</num><content> employees of the United States Capitol Police who have sustained serious line-of-duty injuries.</content>
