<chapeau style="-uslm-lc:I11" class="indent0">The provisions of this Part <ref class="footnoteRef" idref="fn002086">1</ref><note type="footnote" id="fn002086"><num>1</num> See References in Text note below.</note> shall not be construed to—</chapeau><paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id1825ae07-a3d3-11e9-973a-9c709b2fe26d" identifier="/us/usc/t2/s4535/1"><num value="1">(1)</num><content> limit or otherwise affect any authority for the making of any appointment to, or for fixing or adjusting the pay for, any position for which the pay is disbursed by the Chief Administrative Officer of the House of Representatives; or</content>

<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id1825ae08-a3d3-11e9-973a-9c709b2fe26d" identifier="/us/usc/t2/s4535/2"><num value="2">(2)</num><content> affect the continuity of employment of, or reduce the pay of, any employee whose pay is disbursed by the Chief Administrative Officer of the House.</content>
