<section xmlns="http://xml.house.gov/schemas/uslm/1.0" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/" xmlns:dcterms="http://purl.org/dc/terms/" style="-uslm-lc:I80" id="id4301e4f0-3b28-11eb-b57d-ac6ded64e2e5" identifier="/us/usc/t2/s608"><num value="608">§ 608.</num><heading> Lump-sum payments to enhance staff recruitment and to reward exceptional performance</heading><subsection style="-uslm-lc:I11" class="indent0" id="id4301e4f1-3b28-11eb-b57d-ac6ded64e2e5" identifier="/us/usc/t2/s608/a"><num value="a">(a)</num><content> The Director of the Congressional Budget Office shall have the authority to make lump-sum payments to enhance staff recruitment and to reward exceptional performance by an employee or a group of employees.</content>
</subsection>
<subsection style="-uslm-lc:I11" class="indent0" id="id4301e4f2-3b28-11eb-b57d-ac6ded64e2e5" identifier="/us/usc/t2/s608/b"><num value="b">(b)</num><content> Subsection (a) shall apply with respect to fiscal years beginning after <date date="1999-09-30">September 30, 1999</date>.</content>
