L. 98–63, title I</ref>, <date date=\"1983-07-30\">July 30, 1983</date>, <ref href=\"/us/stat/97/333\">97 Stat. 333</ref>, which provided that effective with fiscal year 1983 and each fiscal year thereafter, the expense allowance of Majority and Minority Whips of Senate could not exceed $5,000 each fiscal year for each Whip, was transferred and executed to <ref href=\"/us/usc/t2/s31a–1\">section 31a–1 of this title</ref>.
