<section xmlns="http://xml.house.gov/schemas/uslm/1.0" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/" xmlns:dcterms="http://purl.org/dc/terms/" style="-uslm-lc:I80" id="id6d17689f-d2f2-11e9-aa7d-f436298d01bb" identifier="/us/usc/t20/s10008"><num value="10008">§ 10008.</num><heading> State reports</heading>
<chapeau style="-uslm-lc:I11" class="indent0">For each year of the program under this chapter, a State receiving funds under this chapter shall submit a report to the Secretary, at such time and in such manner as the Secretary may require, that describes—</chapeau><paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id6d1768a0-d2f2-11e9-aa7d-f436298d01bb" identifier="/us/usc/t20/s10008/1"><num value="1">(1)</num><content> the uses of funds provided under this chapter within the State;</content>
</paragraph>
<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id6d1768a1-d2f2-11e9-aa7d-f436298d01bb" identifier="/us/usc/t20/s10008/2"><num value="2">(2)</num><content> how the State distributed the funds it received under this chapter;</content>
</paragraph>
<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id6d1768a2-d2f2-11e9-aa7d-f436298d01bb" identifier="/us/usc/t20/s10008/3"><num value="3">(3)</num><content> the number of jobs that the Governor estimates were saved or created with funds the State received under this chapter;</content>
</paragraph>
<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id6d178fb3-d2f2-11e9-aa7d-f436298d01bb" identifier="/us/usc/t20/s10008/4"><num value="4">(4)</num><content> tax increases that the Governor estimates were averted because of the availability of funds from this chapter;</content>
</paragraph>
<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id6d178fb4-d2f2-11e9-aa7d-f436298d01bb" identifier="/us/usc/t20/s10008/5"><num value="5">(5)</num><content> the State’s progress in reducing inequities in the distribution of highly qualified teachers, in implementing a State longitudinal data system, and in developing and implementing valid and reliable assessments for limited English proficient students and children with disabilities;</content>
</paragraph>
<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id6d178fb5-d2f2-11e9-aa7d-f436298d01bb" identifier="/us/usc/t20/s10008/6"><num value="6">(6)</num><content> the tuition and fee increases for in-State students imposed by public institutions of higher education in the State during the period of availability of funds under this chapter, and a description of any actions taken by the State to limit those increases;</content>
</paragraph>
<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id6d178fb6-d2f2-11e9-aa7d-f436298d01bb" identifier="/us/usc/t20/s10008/7"><num value="7">(7)</num><content> the extent to which public institutions of higher education maintained, increased, or decreased enrollment of in-State students, including students eligible for Pell Grants or other need-based financial assistance; and</content>
</paragraph>
<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id6d178fb7-d2f2-11e9-aa7d-f436298d01bb" identifier="/us/usc/t20/s10008/8"><num value="8">(8)</num><content> a description of each modernization, renovation and repair project funded, which shall include the amounts awarded and project costs.</content>
