L. 106–380, § 4, Oct. 27, 2000, 114 Stat. 1448.)","seq_in_title":1026,"parent_identifier":"/us/usc/t20/ch43/schII","ancestors":[{"identifier":"/us/usc/t20","level":"title","num":"Title 20—","heading":"EDUCATION","status":null,"is_section":false},{"identifier":"/us/usc/t20/ch43","level":"chapter","num":"CHAPTER 43—","heading":"AMERICAN FOLKLIFE PRESERVATION","status":null,"is_section":false},{"identifier":"/us/usc/t20/ch43/schII","level":"subchapter","num":"SUBCHAPTER II—","heading":"VETERANS’ ORAL HISTORY","status":null,"is_section":false}],"xml":"<section xmlns=\"http://xml.house.gov/schemas/uslm/1.0\" xmlns:xsi=\"http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance\" xmlns:dc=\"http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/\" xmlns:dcterms=\"http://purl.org/dc/terms/\" style=\"-uslm-lc:I80\" id=\"id82acdf85-3b28-11eb-8459-b1d1037aec5b\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t20/s2143\"><num value=\"2143\">§ 2143.</num><heading> Private support</heading><subsection style=\"-uslm-lc:I19\" class=\"indent2 firstIndent-2\" id=\"id82acdf86-3b28-11eb-8459-b1d1037aec5b\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t20/s2143/a\"><num value=\"a\" class=\"bold\">(a)</num><heading class=\"bold\"> Acceptance of donations</heading><content><p style=\"-uslm-lc:I11\" class=\"indent0\">The Librarian of Congress may solicit and accept donations of funds and in-kind contributions to carry out the oral history program under <ref href=\"/us/usc/t20/s2142\">section 2142 of this title</ref>.</p>\n</content>\n</subsection>\n<subsection style=\"-uslm-lc:I19\" class=\"indent2 firstIndent-2\" id=\"id82acdf87-3b28-11eb-8459-b1d1037aec5b\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t20/s2143/b\"><num value=\"b\" class=\"bold\">(b)</num><heading class=\"bold\"> Establishment of separate gift account</heading><content><p style=\"-uslm-lc:I11\" class=\"indent0\">There is established in the Treasury (among the accounts of the Library of Congress) a gift account for the oral history program under <ref href=\"/us/usc/t20/s2142\">section 2142 of this title</ref>.</p>\n</content>\n</subsection>\n<subsection style=\"-uslm-lc:I19\" class=\"indent2 firstIndent-2\" id=\"id82acdf88-3b28-11eb-8459-b1d1037aec5b\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t20/s2143/c\"><num value=\"c\" class=\"bold\">(c)</num><heading class=\"bold\"> Dedication of funds</heading><chapeau style=\"-uslm-lc:I11\" class=\"indent0\">Notwithstanding any other provision of law—</chapeau><paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"id82acdf89-3b28-11eb-8459-b1d1037aec5b\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t20/s2143/c/1\"><num value=\"1\">(1)</num><content> any funds donated to the Librarian of Congress to carry out the oral history program under <ref href=\"/us/usc/t20/s2142\">section 2142 of this title</ref> shall be deposited entirely into the gift account established under subsection (b);</content>\n</paragraph>\n<paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"id82acdf8a-3b28-11eb-8459-b1d1037aec5b\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t20/s2143/c/2\"><num value=\"2\">(2)</num><content> the funds contained in such account shall be used solely to carry out the oral history program under <ref href=\"/us/usc/t20/s2142\">section 2142 of this title</ref>; and</content>\n</paragraph>\n<paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"id82acdf8b-3b28-11eb-8459-b1d1037aec5b\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t20/s2143/c/3\"><num value=\"3\">(3)</num><content> the Librarian of Congress may not deposit into such account any funds donated to the Librarian which are not donated for the exclusive purpose of carrying out the oral history program under <ref href=\"/us/usc/t20/s2142\">section 2142 of this title</ref>.</content>\n</paragraph>\n</subsection>\n<sourceCredit id=\"id82acdf8c-3b28-11eb-8459-b1d1037aec5b\">(<ref href=\"/us/pl/106/380/s4\">Pub.
