<section xmlns="http://xml.house.gov/schemas/uslm/1.0" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/" xmlns:dcterms="http://purl.org/dc/terms/" style="-uslm-lc:I80" id="id82bda84d-3b28-11eb-8459-b1d1037aec5b" identifier="/us/usc/t20/s2399"><num value="2399">§ 2399.</num><heading> Study on programs of study aligned to high-skill, high-wage occupations</heading><subsection style="-uslm-lc:I19" class="indent2 firstIndent-2" id="id82bda84e-3b28-11eb-8459-b1d1037aec5b" identifier="/us/usc/t20/s2399/a"><num value="a" class="bold">(a)</num><heading class="bold"> Scope of study</heading><chapeau style="-uslm-lc:I11" class="indent0">The Comptroller General of the United States shall conduct a study to evaluate—</chapeau><paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id82bda84f-3b28-11eb-8459-b1d1037aec5b" identifier="/us/usc/t20/s2399/a/1"><num value="1">(1)</num><chapeau> the strategies, components, policies, and practices used by eligible agencies or eligible recipients receiving funding under this chapter to successfully assist—</chapeau><subparagraph style="-uslm-lc:I13" class="indent2" id="id82bda850-3b28-11eb-8459-b1d1037aec5b" identifier="/us/usc/t20/s2399/a/1/A"><num value="A">(A)</num><content> all students in pursuing and completing programs of study aligned to high-skill, high-wage occupations; and</content>
</subparagraph>
<subparagraph style="-uslm-lc:I13" class="indent2" id="id82bda851-3b28-11eb-8459-b1d1037aec5b" identifier="/us/usc/t20/s2399/a/1/B"><num value="B">(B)</num><content> any special population or specific subgroup of students identified in <ref href="/us/usc/t20/s6311/h/1/C/ii">section 6311(h)(1)(C)(ii) of this title</ref> in pursuing and completing programs of study aligned to high-skill, high-wage occupations in fields in which such special population or subgroup is underrepresented; and</content>
</subparagraph>
</paragraph>
<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id82bda852-3b28-11eb-8459-b1d1037aec5b" identifier="/us/usc/t20/s2399/a/2"><num value="2">(2)</num><content> any challenges associated with replication of such strategies, components, policies, and practices.</content>

</subsection>
<subsection style="-uslm-lc:I19" class="indent2 firstIndent-2" id="id82bda853-3b28-11eb-8459-b1d1037aec5b" identifier="/us/usc/t20/s2399/b"><num value="b" class="bold">(b)</num><heading class="bold"> Consultation</heading><chapeau style="-uslm-lc:I11" class="indent0">In carrying out the study conducted under subsection (a), the Comptroller General of the United States shall consult with a geographically diverse (including urban, suburban, and rural) representation of—</chapeau><paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id82bda854-3b28-11eb-8459-b1d1037aec5b" identifier="/us/usc/t20/s2399/b/1"><num value="1">(1)</num><content> students and parents;</content>
</paragraph>
<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id82bda855-3b28-11eb-8459-b1d1037aec5b" identifier="/us/usc/t20/s2399/b/2"><num value="2">(2)</num><content> eligible agencies and eligible recipients;</content>
</paragraph>
<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id82bda856-3b28-11eb-8459-b1d1037aec5b" identifier="/us/usc/t20/s2399/b/3"><num value="3">(3)</num><content> teachers, faculty, specialized instructional support personnel, and paraprofessionals, including those with expertise in preparing career and technical education students for non-traditional fields;</content>
</paragraph>
<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id82bda857-3b28-11eb-8459-b1d1037aec5b" identifier="/us/usc/t20/s2399/b/4"><num value="4">(4)</num><content> Indian Tribes and Tribal organizations;</content>
</paragraph>
<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id82bda858-3b28-11eb-8459-b1d1037aec5b" identifier="/us/usc/t20/s2399/b/5"><num value="5">(5)</num><content> special populations; and</content>
</paragraph>
<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id82bda859-3b28-11eb-8459-b1d1037aec5b" identifier="/us/usc/t20/s2399/b/6"><num value="6">(6)</num><content> representatives of business and industry.</content>
</paragraph>

<subsection style="-uslm-lc:I19" class="indent2 firstIndent-2" id="id82bda85a-3b28-11eb-8459-b1d1037aec5b" identifier="/us/usc/t20/s2399/c"><num value="c" class="bold">(c)</num><heading class="bold"> Submission</heading><content><p style="-uslm-lc:I11" class="indent0">Upon completion, the Comptroller General of the United States shall submit the study conducted under subsection (a) to the Committee on Education and the Workforce of the House of Representatives and the Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions of the Senate.</p>
