<section xmlns="http://xml.house.gov/schemas/uslm/1.0" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/" xmlns:dcterms="http://purl.org/dc/terms/" style="-uslm-lc:I80" id="id82ed442d-3b28-11eb-8459-b1d1037aec5b" identifier="/us/usc/t20/s6052"><num value="6052">§ 6052.</num><heading> Continuation of awards</heading><subsection style="-uslm-lc:I19" class="indent2 firstIndent-2" id="id82ed442e-3b28-11eb-8459-b1d1037aec5b" identifier="/us/usc/t20/s6052/a"><num value="a" class="bold">(a)</num><heading class="bold"> In general</heading><chapeau style="-uslm-lc:I11" class="indent0">Notwithstanding any other provision of law, from funds appropriated under subsection (b), the Secretary—</chapeau><paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id82ed442f-3b28-11eb-8459-b1d1037aec5b" identifier="/us/usc/t20/s6052/a/1"><num value="1">(1)</num><content> shall continue to fund any multiyear grant or contract awarded under section 3141 and parts A and C of title XIII of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 (as such provisions were in effect on the day preceding <date date="2002-01-08">January 8, 2002</date>), for the duration of that multiyear award in accordance with its terms; and</content>
</paragraph>
<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id82ed4430-3b28-11eb-8459-b1d1037aec5b" identifier="/us/usc/t20/s6052/a/2"><num value="2">(2)</num><content> may extend, on a year-to-year basis, any multiyear grant or contract awarded under an authority described in paragraph (1) that expires after <date date="2002-01-08">January 8, 2002</date>, but before the enactment of successor authority to this subchapter.<ref class="footnoteRef" idref="fn002178">1</ref><note type="footnote" id="fn002178"><num>1</num> See References in Text note below.</note></content>
