L. 103–227, title X, § 1012, Mar. 31, 1994, 108 Stat. 265.)","seq_in_title":1473,"parent_identifier":"/us/usc/t20/ch68/schX/ptA","ancestors":[{"identifier":"/us/usc/t20","level":"title","num":"Title 20—","heading":"EDUCATION","status":null,"is_section":false},{"identifier":"/us/usc/t20/ch68","level":"chapter","num":"CHAPTER 68—","heading":"NATIONAL EDUCATION REFORM","status":null,"is_section":false},{"identifier":"/us/usc/t20/ch68/schX","level":"subchapter","num":"SUBCHAPTER X—","heading":"MISCELLANEOUS","status":null,"is_section":false},{"identifier":"/us/usc/t20/ch68/schX/ptA","level":"part","num":"Part A—","heading":"Miscellaneous Provisions","status":null,"is_section":false}],"xml":"<section xmlns=\"http://xml.house.gov/schemas/uslm/1.0\" xmlns:xsi=\"http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance\" xmlns:dc=\"http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/\" xmlns:dcterms=\"http://purl.org/dc/terms/\" style=\"-uslm-lc:I80\" id=\"id82ed446a-3b28-11eb-8459-b1d1037aec5b\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t20/s6062\"><num value=\"6062\">§ 6062.</num><heading> Funding for Individuals with Disabilities Education Act</heading><subsection style=\"-uslm-lc:I19\" class=\"indent2 firstIndent-2\" id=\"id82ed446b-3b28-11eb-8459-b1d1037aec5b\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t20/s6062/a\"><num value=\"a\" class=\"bold\">(a)</num><heading class=\"bold\"> Findings</heading><chapeau style=\"-uslm-lc:I11\" class=\"indent0\">The Congress finds that—</chapeau><paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"id82ed446c-3b28-11eb-8459-b1d1037aec5b\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t20/s6062/a/1\"><num value=\"1\">(1)</num><content> the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act [<ref href=\"/us/usc/t20/s1400\">20 U.S.C. 1400</ref> et seq.] was established with the commitment of forty percent Federal funding but currently receives only eight percent Federal funding;</content>\n</paragraph>\n<paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"id82ed446d-3b28-11eb-8459-b1d1037aec5b\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t20/s6062/a/2\"><num value=\"2\">(2)</num><content> this funding shortfall is particularly burdensome to school districts and schools in low-income areas which serve higher than average proportions of students with disabilities and have fewer local resources to contribute; and</content>\n</paragraph>\n<paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"id82ed446e-3b28-11eb-8459-b1d1037aec5b\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t20/s6062/a/3\"><num value=\"3\">(3)</num><content> it would cost the Federal Government approximately $10,000,000,000 each year to fully fund the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act.</content>\n</paragraph>\n</subsection>\n<subsection style=\"-uslm-lc:I19\" class=\"indent2 firstIndent-2\" id=\"id82ed446f-3b28-11eb-8459-b1d1037aec5b\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t20/s6062/b\"><num value=\"b\" class=\"bold\">(b)</num><heading class=\"bold\"> Sense of Congress</heading><content><p style=\"-uslm-lc:I11\" class=\"indent0\">It is the sense of the Congress that the Federal Government should provide States and communities with adequate resources under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act [<ref href=\"/us/usc/t20/s1400\">20 U.S.C. 1400</ref> et seq.] as soon as reasonably possible, through the reallocation of noneducation funds within the current budget monetary constraints.</p>\n</content>\n</subsection>\n<sourceCredit id=\"id82ed4470-3b28-11eb-8459-b1d1037aec5b\">(<ref href=\"/us/pl/103/227/tX/s1012\">Pub.
