<section xmlns="http://xml.house.gov/schemas/uslm/1.0" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/" xmlns:dcterms="http://purl.org/dc/terms/" style="-uslm-lc:I80" id="id6d12fbb5-d2f2-11e9-aa7d-f436298d01bb" identifier="/us/usc/t20/s9705"><num value="9705">§ 9705.</num><heading> Commission personnel matters</heading><subsection style="-uslm-lc:I19" class="indent2 firstIndent-2" id="id6d12fbb6-d2f2-11e9-aa7d-f436298d01bb" identifier="/us/usc/t20/s9705/a"><num value="a" class="bold">(a)</num><heading class="bold"> Compensation of members</heading><content><p style="-uslm-lc:I11" class="indent0">Each member of the Commission shall serve without compensation in addition to that received for their service as an officer or employee of the United States.</p>

<subsection style="-uslm-lc:I19" class="indent2 firstIndent-2" id="id6d12fbb7-d2f2-11e9-aa7d-f436298d01bb" identifier="/us/usc/t20/s9705/b"><num value="b" class="bold">(b)</num><heading class="bold"> Travel expenses</heading><content><p style="-uslm-lc:I11" class="indent0">The members of the Commission shall be allowed travel expenses, including per diem in lieu of subsistence, at rates authorized for employees of agencies under subchapter I of chapter 57 of title 5, while away from their homes or regular places of business in the performance of services for the Commission.</p>

<subsection style="-uslm-lc:I19" class="indent2 firstIndent-2" id="id6d12fbb8-d2f2-11e9-aa7d-f436298d01bb" identifier="/us/usc/t20/s9705/c"><num value="c" class="bold">(c)</num><heading class="bold"> Assistance</heading><paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I79" class="indent3 firstIndent-2" id="id6d12fbb9-d2f2-11e9-aa7d-f436298d01bb" identifier="/us/usc/t20/s9705/c/1"><num value="1" class="bold">(1)</num><heading class="bold"> In general</heading><content><p style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1">The Director of the Office of Financial Education of the Department of the Treasury shall provide assistance to the Commission, upon request of the Commission, without reimbursement.</p>

<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I79" class="indent3 firstIndent-2" id="id6d12fbba-d2f2-11e9-aa7d-f436298d01bb" identifier="/us/usc/t20/s9705/c/2"><num value="2" class="bold">(2)</num><heading class="bold"> Detail of Government employees</heading><content><p style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1">Any Federal Government employee may be detailed to the Commission without reimbursement, and such detail shall be without interruption or loss of civil service status or privilege.</p>
