L. 106–120, title VIII, § 807, Dec. 3, 1999, 113 Stat. 1631.)","seq_in_title":660,"parent_identifier":"/us/usc/t21/ch24","ancestors":[{"identifier":"/us/usc/t21","level":"title","num":"Title 21—","heading":"FOOD AND DRUGS","status":null,"is_section":false},{"identifier":"/us/usc/t21/ch24","level":"chapter","num":"CHAPTER 24—","heading":"INTERNATIONAL NARCOTICS TRAFFICKING","status":null,"is_section":false}],"xml":"<section xmlns=\"http://xml.house.gov/schemas/uslm/1.0\" xmlns:xsi=\"http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance\" xmlns:dc=\"http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/\" xmlns:dcterms=\"http://purl.org/dc/terms/\" style=\"-uslm-lc:I80\" id=\"idecb679fd-0c74-11e6-b5d4-9376778ac99d\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t21/s1906\"><num value=\"1906\">§ 1906.</num><heading> Enforcement</heading><subsection style=\"-uslm-lc:I19\" class=\"indent2 firstIndent-2\" id=\"idecb679fe-0c74-11e6-b5d4-9376778ac99d\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t21/s1906/a\"><num value=\"a\" class=\"bold\">(a)</num><heading class=\"bold\"> Criminal penalties</heading><paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I11\" class=\"indent0\" id=\"idecb679ff-0c74-11e6-b5d4-9376778ac99d\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t21/s1906/a/1\"><num value=\"1\">(1)</num><chapeau> Whoever willfully violates the provisions of this chapter, or any license rule, or regulation issued pursuant to this chapter, or willfully neglects or refuses to comply with any order of the President issued under this chapter shall be—</chapeau><subparagraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"idecb67a00-0c74-11e6-b5d4-9376778ac99d\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t21/s1906/a/1/A\"><num value=\"A\">(A)</num><content> imprisoned for not more than 10 years,</content>\n</subparagraph>\n<subparagraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"idecb67a01-0c74-11e6-b5d4-9376778ac99d\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t21/s1906/a/1/B\"><num value=\"B\">(B)</num><content> fined in the amount provided in title 18 or, in the case of an entity, fined not more than $10,000,000,</content>\n</subparagraph>\n\n<continuation style=\"-uslm-lc:I10\" class=\"indent0 firstIndent0\">or both.</continuation>\n</paragraph>\n<paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I11\" class=\"indent0\" id=\"idecb67a02-0c74-11e6-b5d4-9376778ac99d\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t21/s1906/a/2\"><num value=\"2\">(2)</num><content> Any officer, director, or agent of any entity who knowingly participates in a violation of the provisions of this chapter shall be imprisoned for not more than 30 years, fined not more than $5,000,000, or both.</content>\n</paragraph>\n</subsection>\n<subsection style=\"-uslm-lc:I19\" class=\"indent2 firstIndent-2\" id=\"idecb67a03-0c74-11e6-b5d4-9376778ac99d\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t21/s1906/b\"><num value=\"b\" class=\"bold\">(b)</num><heading class=\"bold\"> Civil penalties</heading><content><p style=\"-uslm-lc:I11\" class=\"indent0\">A civil penalty not to exceed $1,000,000 may be imposed by the Secretary of the Treasury on any person who violates any license, order, rule, or regulation issued in compliance with the provisions of this chapter.</p>\n</content>\n</subsection>\n<subsection style=\"-uslm-lc:I19\" class=\"indent2 firstIndent-2\" id=\"idecb67a04-0c74-11e6-b5d4-9376778ac99d\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t21/s1906/c\"><num value=\"c\" class=\"bold\">(c)</num><heading class=\"bold\"> Judicial review of civil penalty</heading><content><p style=\"-uslm-lc:I11\" class=\"indent0\">Any penalty imposed under subsection (b) shall be subject to judicial review only to the extent provided in <ref href=\"/us/usc/t5/s702\">section 702 of title 5</ref>.</p>\n</content>\n</subsection>\n<sourceCredit id=\"idecb67a05-0c74-11e6-b5d4-9376778ac99d\">(<ref href=\"/us/pl/106/120/tVIII\">Pub.
