Probably should be “220501(b)(1)).”</note></p>\n</content>\n</paragraph>\n</subsection>\n<subsection style=\"-uslm-lc:I19\" class=\"indent2 firstIndent-2\" id=\"idec866d0a-3153-11e9-9613-c9916fd353d5\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t21/s2001/b\"><num value=\"b\" class=\"bold\">(b)</num><heading class=\"bold\"> In general</heading><chapeau>The United States Anti-Doping Agency shall—</chapeau><paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"idec866d0b-3153-11e9-9613-c9916fd353d5\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t21/s2001/b/1\"><num value=\"1\">(1)</num><content> serve as the independent anti-doping organization for the amateur athletic competitions recognized by the United States Olympic Committee and be recognized worldwide as the independent national anti-doping organization for the United States;</content>\n</paragraph>\n<paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"idec866d0c-3153-11e9-9613-c9916fd353d5\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t21/s2001/b/2\"><num value=\"2\">(2)</num><content> ensure that athletes participating in amateur athletic activities recognized by the United States Olympic Committee are prevented from using performance-enhancing drugs or prohibited performance-enhancing methods adopted by the Agency;</content>\n</paragraph>\n<paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"idec866d0d-3153-11e9-9613-c9916fd353d5\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t21/s2001/b/3\"><num value=\"3\">(3)</num><content> implement anti-doping education, research, testing, and adjudication programs to prevent United States Amateur Athletes participating in any activity recognized by the United States Olympic Committee from using performance-enhancing drugs or prohibited performance-enhancing methods adopted by the Agency;</content>\n</paragraph>\n<paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"idec866d0e-3153-11e9-9613-c9916fd353d5\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t21/s2001/b/4\"><num value=\"4\">(4)</num><content> serve as the United States representative responsible for coordination with other anti-doping organizations coordinating amateur athletic competitions recognized by the United States Olympic Committee to ensure the integrity of athletic competition, the health of the athletes, and the prevention of use by United States amateur athletes of performance-enhancing drugs or prohibited performance-enhancing methods adopted by the Agency.</content>\n</paragraph>\n</subsection>\n<sourceCredit id=\"idec866d0f-3153-11e9-9613-c9916fd353d5\">(<ref href=\"/us/pl/109/469/tVII\">Pub.
