L. 109–469, title X, § 1003, Dec. 29, 2006, 120 Stat. 3538.)","seq_in_title":669,"parent_identifier":"/us/usc/t21/ch25/schII","ancestors":[{"identifier":"/us/usc/t21","level":"title","num":"Title 21—","heading":"FOOD AND DRUGS","status":null,"is_section":false},{"identifier":"/us/usc/t21/ch25","level":"chapter","num":"CHAPTER 25—","heading":"MISCELLANEOUS ANTI-DRUG ABUSE PROVISIONS","status":null,"is_section":false},{"identifier":"/us/usc/t21/ch25/schII","level":"subchapter","num":"SUBCHAPTER II—","heading":"NATIONAL METHAMPHETAMINE INFORMATION CLEARINGHOUSE","status":null,"is_section":false}],"xml":"<section xmlns=\"http://xml.house.gov/schemas/uslm/1.0\" xmlns:xsi=\"http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance\" xmlns:dc=\"http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/\" xmlns:dcterms=\"http://purl.org/dc/terms/\" style=\"-uslm-lc:I80\" id=\"id41dead21-a3d3-11e9-95d4-f3ff9237185e\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t21/s2012\"><num value=\"2012\">§ 2012.</num><heading> Establishment of clearinghouse and advisory council</heading><subsection style=\"-uslm-lc:I19\" class=\"indent2 firstIndent-2\" id=\"id41dead22-a3d3-11e9-95d4-f3ff9237185e\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t21/s2012/a\"><num value=\"a\" class=\"bold\">(a)</num><heading class=\"bold\"> Clearinghouse</heading><content><p style=\"-uslm-lc:I11\" class=\"indent0\">There is established, under the supervision of the Attorney General of the United States, an information clearinghouse to be known as the National Methamphetamine Information Clearinghouse.</p>\n</content>\n</subsection>\n<subsection style=\"-uslm-lc:I19\" class=\"indent2 firstIndent-2\" id=\"id41dead23-a3d3-11e9-95d4-f3ff9237185e\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t21/s2012/b\"><num value=\"b\" class=\"bold\">(b)</num><heading class=\"bold\"> Advisory council</heading><paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I79\" class=\"indent3 firstIndent-2\" id=\"id41dead24-a3d3-11e9-95d4-f3ff9237185e\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t21/s2012/b/1\"><num value=\"1\" class=\"bold\">(1)</num><heading class=\"bold\"> In general</heading><content><p style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\">There is established an advisory council to be known as the National Methamphetamine Advisory Council.</p>\n</content>\n</paragraph>\n<paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I79\" class=\"indent3 firstIndent-2\" id=\"id41dead25-a3d3-11e9-95d4-f3ff9237185e\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t21/s2012/b/2\"><num value=\"2\" class=\"bold\">(2)</num><heading class=\"bold\"> Membership</heading><chapeau>The Council shall consist of 10 members appointed by the Attorney General—</chapeau><subparagraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I13\" class=\"indent2\" id=\"id41dead26-a3d3-11e9-95d4-f3ff9237185e\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t21/s2012/b/2/A\"><num value=\"A\">(A)</num><content> not fewer than 3 of whom shall be representatives of law enforcement agencies;</content>\n</subparagraph>\n<subparagraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I13\" class=\"indent2\" id=\"id41dead27-a3d3-11e9-95d4-f3ff9237185e\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t21/s2012/b/2/B\"><num value=\"B\">(B)</num><content> not fewer than 4 of whom shall be representatives of nongovernmental and nonprofit organizations providing services or training and implementing programs or strategies related to methamphetamines; and</content>\n</subparagraph>\n<subparagraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I13\" class=\"indent2\" id=\"id41dead28-a3d3-11e9-95d4-f3ff9237185e\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t21/s2012/b/2/C\"><num value=\"C\">(C)</num><content> 1 of whom shall be a representative of the Department of Health and Human Services.</content>\n</subparagraph>\n</paragraph>\n<paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I79\" class=\"indent3 firstIndent-2\" id=\"id41dead29-a3d3-11e9-95d4-f3ff9237185e\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t21/s2012/b/3\"><num value=\"3\" class=\"bold\">(3)</num><heading class=\"bold\"> Period of appointment; vacancies</heading><content><p style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\">Members shall be appointed for 3 years. Any vacancy in the Council shall not affect its powers, but shall be filled in the same manner as the original appointment.</p>\n</content>\n</paragraph>\n<paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I79\" class=\"indent3 firstIndent-2\" id=\"id41dead2a-a3d3-11e9-95d4-f3ff9237185e\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t21/s2012/b/4\"><num value=\"4\" class=\"bold\">(4)</num><heading class=\"bold\"> Personnel matters</heading><subparagraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I18\" class=\"indent4 firstIndent-2\" id=\"id41dead2b-a3d3-11e9-95d4-f3ff9237185e\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t21/s2012/b/4/A\"><num value=\"A\" class=\"bold\">(A)</num><heading class=\"bold\"> Travel expenses</heading><content><p style=\"-uslm-lc:I13\" class=\"indent2\">The members of the Council shall be allowed travel expenses, including per diem in lieu of subsistence, at rates authorized for employees of agencies under subchapter I of chapter 57 of title 5, while away from their homes or regular places of business in the performance of services for the Council.</p>\n</content>\n</subparagraph>\n<subparagraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I18\" class=\"indent4 firstIndent-2\" id=\"id41dead2c-a3d3-11e9-95d4-f3ff9237185e\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t21/s2012/b/4/B\"><num value=\"B\" class=\"bold\">(B)</num><heading class=\"bold\"> No compensation</heading><content><p style=\"-uslm-lc:I13\" class=\"indent2\">The members of the Council shall not receive compensation for the performance of the duties of a member of the Council.</p>\n</content>\n</subparagraph>\n</paragraph>\n</subsection>\n<sourceCredit id=\"id41dead2d-a3d3-11e9-95d4-f3ff9237185e\">(<ref href=\"/us/pl/109/469/tX/s1003\">Pub.
