<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I19" class="indent2 firstIndent-2" id="id7c7941c2-77f4-11ed-9c57-a36d2d5d44bb" identifier="/us/usc/t21/s2401/3"><num value="3" class="bold">(3)</num><heading class="bold"> Code</heading><content><p style="-uslm-lc:I11" class="indent0">The term “Code” means the World Anti-Doping Code most recently adopted by WADA on <date date="2003-03-05">March 5, 2003</date>.</p>

<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I19" class="indent2 firstIndent-2" id="id7c7941c3-77f4-11ed-9c57-a36d2d5d44bb" identifier="/us/usc/t21/s2401/4"><num value="4" class="bold">(4)</num><heading class="bold"> Convention</heading><content><p style="-uslm-lc:I11" class="indent0">The term “Convention” means the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization International Convention Against Doping in Sport done at Paris <date date="2005-10-19">October 19, 2005</date>, and ratified by the United States in 2008.</p>

<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I19" class="indent2 firstIndent-2" id="id7c7941c4-77f4-11ed-9c57-a36d2d5d44bb" identifier="/us/usc/t21/s2401/5"><num value="5" class="bold">(5)</num><heading class="bold"> Major international sport competition</heading><chapeau style="-uslm-lc:I11" class="indent0">The term “Major International Sport Competition”— <ref class="footnoteRef" idref="fn002195">1</ref><note type="footnote" id="fn002195"><num>1</num> So in original. Term is not capitalized as used in this chapter.</note></chapeau><subparagraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id7c7941c5-77f4-11ed-9c57-a36d2d5d44bb" identifier="/us/usc/t21/s2401/5/A"><num value="A">(A)</num><chapeau> means a competition—</chapeau><clause style="-uslm-lc:I13" class="indent2" id="id7c7941c6-77f4-11ed-9c57-a36d2d5d44bb" identifier="/us/usc/t21/s2401/5/A/i"><num value="i">(i)</num><content> in which one or more United States athletes and three or more athletes from other countries participate;</content>

<clause style="-uslm-lc:I13" class="indent2" id="id7c7941c7-77f4-11ed-9c57-a36d2d5d44bb" identifier="/us/usc/t21/s2401/5/A/ii"><num value="ii">(ii)</num><content> that is governed by the anti-doping rules and principles of the Code; and</content>

<clause style="-uslm-lc:I13" class="indent2" id="id7c7941c8-77f4-11ed-9c57-a36d2d5d44bb" identifier="/us/usc/t21/s2401/5/A/iii"><num value="iii">(iii)</num><chapeau> in which—</chapeau><subclause style="-uslm-lc:I14" class="indent3" id="id7c7941c9-77f4-11ed-9c57-a36d2d5d44bb" identifier="/us/usc/t21/s2401/5/A/iii/I"><num value="I">(I)</num><content> the competition organizer or sanctioning body receives sponsorship or other financial support from an organization doing business in the United States; or</content>
</subclause>
<subclause style="-uslm-lc:I14" class="indent3" id="id7c7941ca-77f4-11ed-9c57-a36d2d5d44bb" identifier="/us/usc/t21/s2401/5/A/iii/II"><num value="II">(II)</num><content> the competition organizer or sanctioning body receives compensation for the right to broadcast the competition in the United States; and</content>
</subclause>
</clause>
</subparagraph>
<subparagraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id7c7941cb-77f4-11ed-9c57-a36d2d5d44bb" identifier="/us/usc/t21/s2401/5/B"><num value="B">(B)</num><content> includes a competition that is a single event or a competition that consists of a series of events held at different times which, when combined, qualify an athlete or team for an award or other recognition.</content>

</paragraph>
<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I19" class="indent2 firstIndent-2" id="id7c7941cc-77f4-11ed-9c57-a36d2d5d44bb" identifier="/us/usc/t21/s2401/6"><num value="6" class="bold">(6)</num><heading class="bold"> Person</heading><content><p style="-uslm-lc:I11" class="indent0">The term “person” means any individual, partnership, corporation, association, or other entity.</p>

<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I19" class="indent2 firstIndent-2" id="id7c7941cd-77f4-11ed-9c57-a36d2d5d44bb" identifier="/us/usc/t21/s2401/7"><num value="7" class="bold">(7)</num><heading class="bold"> Prohibited method</heading><content><p style="-uslm-lc:I11" class="indent0">The term “prohibited method” has the meaning given the term in Article 2 of the Convention.</p>
