<section xmlns="http://xml.house.gov/schemas/uslm/1.0" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/" xmlns:dcterms="http://purl.org/dc/terms/" style="-uslm-lc:I80" id="id4167a8c9-a3d3-11e9-95d4-f3ff9237185e" identifier="/us/usc/t21/s374a"><num value="374a">§ 374a.</num><heading> Inspections relating to food allergens</heading>
<chapeau style="-uslm-lc:I11" class="indent0">The Secretary of Health and Human Services shall conduct inspections consistent with the authority under <ref href="/us/usc/t21/s374">section 374 of this title</ref> of facilities in which foods are manufactured, processed, packed, or held—</chapeau><paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id4167a8ca-a3d3-11e9-95d4-f3ff9237185e" identifier="/us/usc/t21/s374a/1"><num value="1">(1)</num><content> to ensure that the entities operating the facilities comply with practices to reduce or eliminate cross-contact of a food with residues of major food allergens that are not intentional ingredients of the food; and</content>

<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id4167a8cb-a3d3-11e9-95d4-f3ff9237185e" identifier="/us/usc/t21/s374a/2"><num value="2">(2)</num><content> to ensure that major food allergens are properly labeled on foods.</content>
