If the conviction is for an offense punishable under <ref href=\"/us/usc/t21/s960/b\">section 960(b) of this title</ref>, and if it is the offender’s second or subsequent offense, the court shall impose, in addition to any term of imprisonment and fine, twice the term of supervised release otherwise authorized.</p>\n</content>\n</subsection>\n<subsection style=\"-uslm-lc:I19\" class=\"indent2 firstIndent-2\" id=\"id7dc63b11-81bc-11eb-b838-b6993269d559\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t21/s962/b\"><num value=\"b\" class=\"bold\">(b)</num><heading class=\"bold\"> Determination of status</heading><content><p style=\"-uslm-lc:I11\" class=\"indent0\">For purposes of this section, a person shall be considered convicted of a second or subsequent offense if, prior to the commission of such offense, one or more prior convictions of such person for a felony drug offense have become final.</p>\n</content>\n</subsection>\n<subsection style=\"-uslm-lc:I19\" class=\"indent2 firstIndent-2\" id=\"id7dc63b12-81bc-11eb-b838-b6993269d559\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t21/s962/c\"><num value=\"c\" class=\"bold\">(c)</num><heading class=\"bold\"> Procedures applicable</heading><content><p style=\"-uslm-lc:I11\" class=\"indent0\"><ref href=\"/us/usc/t21/s851\">Section 851 of this title</ref> shall apply with respect to any proceeding to sentence a person under this section.</p>\n</content>\n</subsection>\n<sourceCredit id=\"id7dc66223-81bc-11eb-b838-b6993269d559\">(<ref href=\"/us/pl/91/513/tIII/s1012\">Pub.
