<section xmlns="http://xml.house.gov/schemas/uslm/1.0" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/" xmlns:dcterms="http://purl.org/dc/terms/" style="-uslm-lc:I80" id="idb7eb1ac8-ec38-11e5-a66f-80f96926b9bb" identifier="/us/usc/t23/s151"><num value="151">§ 151.</num><heading> National electric vehicle charging and hydrogen, propane, and natural gas fueling corridors</heading><subsection style="-uslm-lc:I11" class="indent0" id="idb7eb1ac9-ec38-11e5-a66f-80f96926b9bb" identifier="/us/usc/t23/s151/a"><num value="a">(a)</num><heading> <inline class="small-caps">In General</inline>.—</heading><content>Not later than 1 year after the date of enactment of the FAST Act, the Secretary shall designate national electric vehicle charging and hydrogen, propane, and natural gas fueling corridors that identify the near- and long-term need for, and location of, electric vehicle charging infrastructure, hydrogen fueling infrastructure, propane fueling infrastructure, and natural gas fueling infrastructure at strategic locations along major national highways to improve the mobility of passenger and commercial vehicles that employ electric, hydrogen fuel cell, propane, and natural gas fueling technologies across the United States.</content>
</subsection>
<subsection style="-uslm-lc:I11" class="indent0" id="idb7eb1aca-ec38-11e5-a66f-80f96926b9bb" identifier="/us/usc/t23/s151/b"><num value="b">(b)</num><heading> <inline class="small-caps">Designation of Corridors</inline>.—</heading><chapeau>In designating the corridors under subsection (a), the Secretary shall—</chapeau><paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="idb7eb1acb-ec38-11e5-a66f-80f96926b9bb" identifier="/us/usc/t23/s151/b/1"><num value="1">(1)</num><content> solicit nominations from State and local officials for facilities to be included in the corridors;</content>
</paragraph>
<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="idb7eb1acc-ec38-11e5-a66f-80f96926b9bb" identifier="/us/usc/t23/s151/b/2"><num value="2">(2)</num><content> incorporate existing electric vehicle charging, hydrogen fueling, propane fueling, and natural gas fueling corridors designated by a State or group of States; and</content>
</paragraph>
<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="idb7eb1acd-ec38-11e5-a66f-80f96926b9bb" identifier="/us/usc/t23/s151/b/3"><num value="3">(3)</num><content> consider the demand for, and location of, existing electric vehicle charging stations, hydrogen fueling stations, propane fueling stations, and natural gas fueling infrastructure.</content>
</paragraph>
</subsection>
<subsection style="-uslm-lc:I11" class="indent0" id="idb7eb1ace-ec38-11e5-a66f-80f96926b9bb" identifier="/us/usc/t23/s151/c"><num value="c">(c)</num><heading> <inline class="small-caps">Stakeholders</inline>.—</heading><chapeau>In designating corridors under subsection (a), the Secretary shall involve, on a voluntary basis, stakeholders that include—</chapeau><paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="idb7eb1acf-ec38-11e5-a66f-80f96926b9bb" identifier="/us/usc/t23/s151/c/1"><num value="1">(1)</num><content> the heads of other Federal agencies;</content>
</paragraph>
<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="idb7eb1ad0-ec38-11e5-a66f-80f96926b9bb" identifier="/us/usc/t23/s151/c/2"><num value="2">(2)</num><content> State and local officials;</content>
</paragraph>
<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="idb7eb1ad1-ec38-11e5-a66f-80f96926b9bb" identifier="/us/usc/t23/s151/c/3"><num value="3">(3)</num><chapeau> representatives of—</chapeau><subparagraph style="-uslm-lc:I13" class="indent2" id="idb7eb1ad2-ec38-11e5-a66f-80f96926b9bb" identifier="/us/usc/t23/s151/c/3/A"><num value="A">(A)</num><content> energy utilities;</content>
</subparagraph>
<subparagraph style="-uslm-lc:I13" class="indent2" id="idb7eb1ad3-ec38-11e5-a66f-80f96926b9bb" identifier="/us/usc/t23/s151/c/3/B"><num value="B">(B)</num><content> the electric, fuel cell electric, propane, and natural gas vehicle industries;</content>
</subparagraph>
<subparagraph style="-uslm-lc:I13" class="indent2" id="idb7eb1ad4-ec38-11e5-a66f-80f96926b9bb" identifier="/us/usc/t23/s151/c/3/C"><num value="C">(C)</num><content> the freight and shipping industry;</content>
</subparagraph>
<subparagraph style="-uslm-lc:I13" class="indent2" id="idb7eb1ad5-ec38-11e5-a66f-80f96926b9bb" identifier="/us/usc/t23/s151/c/3/D"><num value="D">(D)</num><content> clean technology firms;</content>
</subparagraph>
<subparagraph style="-uslm-lc:I13" class="indent2" id="idb7eb1ad6-ec38-11e5-a66f-80f96926b9bb" identifier="/us/usc/t23/s151/c/3/E"><num value="E">(E)</num><content> the hospitality industry;</content>
</subparagraph>
<subparagraph style="-uslm-lc:I13" class="indent2" id="idb7eb1ad7-ec38-11e5-a66f-80f96926b9bb" identifier="/us/usc/t23/s151/c/3/F"><num value="F">(F)</num><content> the restaurant industry;</content>
</subparagraph>
<subparagraph style="-uslm-lc:I13" class="indent2" id="idb7eb1ad8-ec38-11e5-a66f-80f96926b9bb" identifier="/us/usc/t23/s151/c/3/G"><num value="G">(G)</num><content> highway rest stop vendors; and</content>
</subparagraph>
<subparagraph style="-uslm-lc:I13" class="indent2" id="idb7eb1ad9-ec38-11e5-a66f-80f96926b9bb" identifier="/us/usc/t23/s151/c/3/H"><num value="H">(H)</num><content> industrial gas and hydrogen manufacturers; and</content>
</subparagraph>
</paragraph>
<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="idb7eb1ada-ec38-11e5-a66f-80f96926b9bb" identifier="/us/usc/t23/s151/c/4"><num value="4">(4)</num><content> such other stakeholders as the Secretary determines to be necessary.</content>
</paragraph>
</subsection>
<subsection style="-uslm-lc:I11" class="indent0" id="idb7eb1adb-ec38-11e5-a66f-80f96926b9bb" identifier="/us/usc/t23/s151/d"><num value="d">(d)</num><heading> <inline class="small-caps">Redesignation</inline>.—</heading><content>Not later than 5 years after the date of establishment of the corridors under subsection (a), and every 5 years thereafter, the Secretary shall update and redesignate the corridors.</content>
</subsection>
<subsection style="-uslm-lc:I11" class="indent0" id="idb7eb1adc-ec38-11e5-a66f-80f96926b9bb" identifier="/us/usc/t23/s151/e"><num value="e">(e)</num><heading> <inline class="small-caps">Report</inline>.—</heading><chapeau>During designation and redesignation of the corridors under this section, the Secretary shall issue a report that—</chapeau><paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="idb7eb1add-ec38-11e5-a66f-80f96926b9bb" identifier="/us/usc/t23/s151/e/1"><num value="1">(1)</num><content> identifies electric vehicle charging infrastructure, hydrogen fueling infrastructure, propane fueling infrastructure, and natural gas fueling infrastructure and standardization needs for electricity providers, industrial gas providers, natural gas providers, infrastructure providers, vehicle manufacturers, electricity purchasers, and natural gas purchasers; and</content>
</paragraph>
<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="idb7eb1ade-ec38-11e5-a66f-80f96926b9bb" identifier="/us/usc/t23/s151/e/2"><num value="2">(2)</num><content> establishes an aspirational goal of achieving strategic deployment of electric vehicle charging infrastructure, hydrogen fueling infrastructure, propane fueling infrastructure, and natural gas fueling infrastructure in those corridors by the end of fiscal year 2020.</content>
