<section xmlns="http://xml.house.gov/schemas/uslm/1.0" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/" xmlns:dcterms="http://purl.org/dc/terms/" style="-uslm-lc:I80" id="id2089efb0-0f21-11eb-a65f-be582b2a294a" identifier="/us/usc/t25/s2015"><num value="2015">§ 2015.</num><heading> Annual report; audits</heading><subsection style="-uslm-lc:I19" class="indent2 firstIndent-2" id="id2089efb1-0f21-11eb-a65f-be582b2a294a" identifier="/us/usc/t25/s2015/a"><num value="a" class="bold">(a)</num><heading class="bold"> Annual reports</heading><chapeau style="-uslm-lc:I11" class="indent0">The Secretary shall submit to each appropriate committee of Congress, all Bureau-funded schools, and the tribal governing bodies of such schools, a detailed annual report on the state of education within the Bureau, and any problems encountered in Indian education during the period covered by the report, that includes—</chapeau><paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id2089efb2-0f21-11eb-a65f-be582b2a294a" identifier="/us/usc/t25/s2015/a/1"><num value="1">(1)</num><content> suggestions for the improvement of the Bureau educational system and for increasing tribal or local Indian control of such system; and</content>

<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id2089efb3-0f21-11eb-a65f-be582b2a294a" identifier="/us/usc/t25/s2015/a/2"><num value="2">(2)</num><content> information on the status of tribally controlled community colleges.</content>

<subsection style="-uslm-lc:I19" class="indent2 firstIndent-2" id="id2089efb4-0f21-11eb-a65f-be582b2a294a" identifier="/us/usc/t25/s2015/b"><num value="b" class="bold">(b)</num><heading class="bold"> Budget request</heading><content><p style="-uslm-lc:I11" class="indent0">The annual budget request for the education programs of the Bureau, as submitted as part of the President’s next annual budget request under <ref href="/us/usc/t31/s1105">section 1105 of title 31</ref> shall include the plans required by sections 2001(c), 2002(c), and 2004(c) <ref class="footnoteRef" idref="fn002130">1</ref><note type="footnote" id="fn002130"><num>1</num> So in original. Probably should be “2005(c)”.</note> of this title.</p>

<subsection style="-uslm-lc:I19" class="indent2 firstIndent-2" id="id2089efb5-0f21-11eb-a65f-be582b2a294a" identifier="/us/usc/t25/s2015/c"><num value="c" class="bold">(c)</num><heading class="bold"> Financial and compliance audits</heading><content><p style="-uslm-lc:I11" class="indent0">The Inspector General of the Department of the Interior shall establish a system to ensure that financial and compliance audits, based upon the extent to which a school described in subsection (a) has complied with the local financial plan under <ref href="/us/usc/t25/s2010">section 2010 of this title</ref>, are conducted of each Bureau-operated school at least once every 3 years.</p>

<subsection style="-uslm-lc:I19" class="indent2 firstIndent-2" id="id2089efb6-0f21-11eb-a65f-be582b2a294a" identifier="/us/usc/t25/s2015/d"><num value="d" class="bold">(d)</num><heading class="bold"> Administrative evaluation of schools</heading><content><p style="-uslm-lc:I11" class="indent0">The Director shall, at least once every 3 to 5 years, conduct a comprehensive evaluation of Bureau-operated schools. Such evaluation shall be in addition to any other program review or evaluation that may be required under Federal law.</p>
