<section xmlns="http://xml.house.gov/schemas/uslm/1.0" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/" xmlns:dcterms="http://purl.org/dc/terms/" style="-uslm-lc:I80" id="id2a96a2a9-56ae-11e3-a050-c6d294ef27da" identifier="/us/usc/t28/s1918"><num value="1918">§ 1918.</num><heading> District courts; fines, forfeitures and criminal proceedings</heading><subsection style="-uslm-lc:I11" class="indent0" id="id2a96a2aa-56ae-11e3-a050-c6d294ef27da" identifier="/us/usc/t28/s1918/a"><num value="a">(a)</num><content> Costs shall be included in any judgment, order, or decree rendered against any person for the violation of an Act of Congress in which a civil fine or forfeiture of property is provided for.</content>
</subsection>
<subsection style="-uslm-lc:I11" class="indent0" id="id2a96a2ab-56ae-11e3-a050-c6d294ef27da" identifier="/us/usc/t28/s1918/b"><num value="b">(b)</num><content> Whenever any conviction for any offense not capital is obtained in a district court, the court may order that the defendant pay the costs of prosecution.</content>
