<chapeau style="-uslm-lc:I11" class="indent0">A judge or clerk of any court of the United States may tax as costs the following:</chapeau><paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id1408e47a-f67d-11e5-bd8c-a577a4d23433" identifier="/us/usc/t28/s1920/1"><num value="1">(1)</num><content> Fees of the clerk and marshal;</content>

<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id1408e47b-f67d-11e5-bd8c-a577a4d23433" identifier="/us/usc/t28/s1920/2"><num value="2">(2)</num><content> Fees for printed or electronically recorded transcripts necessarily obtained for use in the case;</content>

<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id1408e47c-f67d-11e5-bd8c-a577a4d23433" identifier="/us/usc/t28/s1920/3"><num value="3">(3)</num><content> Fees and disbursements for printing and witnesses;</content>
</paragraph>
<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id1408e47d-f67d-11e5-bd8c-a577a4d23433" identifier="/us/usc/t28/s1920/4"><num value="4">(4)</num><content> Fees for exemplification and the costs of making copies of any materials where the copies are necessarily obtained for use in the case;</content>
