<section xmlns="http://xml.house.gov/schemas/uslm/1.0" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/" xmlns:dcterms="http://purl.org/dc/terms/" style="-uslm-lc:I80" id="id58c8e6cd-f339-11ed-8dac-8130764b59bf" identifier="/us/usc/t3/s6"><num value="6">§ 6.</num><heading> Duties of Archivist</heading>
<chapeau style="-uslm-lc:I11" class="indent0">The certificates of ascertainment of appointment of electors received by the Archivist of the United States under section 5 shall—</chapeau><paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id58c8e6ce-f339-11ed-8dac-8130764b59bf" identifier="/us/usc/t3/s6/1"><num value="1">(1)</num><content> be preserved for one year;</content>
</paragraph>
<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id58c8e6cf-f339-11ed-8dac-8130764b59bf" identifier="/us/usc/t3/s6/2"><num value="2">(2)</num><content> be a part of the public records of such office; and</content>
</paragraph>
<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id58c8e6d0-f339-11ed-8dac-8130764b59bf" identifier="/us/usc/t3/s6/3"><num value="3">(3)</num><content> be open to public inspection.</content>
