The President determines the amount necessary to be transferred when the transfer or assignment of the function or activity is from one executive agency to another.</content>\n</subsection>\n<subsection style=\"-uslm-lc:I11\" class=\"indent0\" id=\"id6fe346ec-b854-11e9-b72c-a5fb66e51517\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t31/s1531/c\"><num value=\"c\">(c)</num><chapeau> A balance transferred under this section is—</chapeau><paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"id6fe346ed-b854-11e9-b72c-a5fb66e51517\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t31/s1531/c/1\"><num value=\"1\">(1)</num><content> credited to an applicable existing or new appropriation account;</content>\n</paragraph>\n<paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"id6fe346ee-b854-11e9-b72c-a5fb66e51517\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t31/s1531/c/2\"><num value=\"2\">(2)</num><content> merged with the amount in an account to which the balance is credited; and</content>\n</paragraph>\n<paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"id6fe346ef-b854-11e9-b72c-a5fb66e51517\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t31/s1531/c/3\"><num value=\"3\">(3)</num><content> with the amount with which the balance is merged, accounted for as one amount.</content>\n</paragraph>\n</subsection>\n<subsection style=\"-uslm-lc:I11\" class=\"indent0\" id=\"id6fe346f0-b854-11e9-b72c-a5fb66e51517\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t31/s1531/d\"><num value=\"d\">(d)</num><content> New appropriation accounts may be established to carry out subsection (c)(1) of this section.</content>\n</subsection>\n<sourceCredit id=\"id6fe346f1-b854-11e9-b72c-a5fb66e51517\">(<ref href=\"/us/pl/97/258\">Pub.
