L. 101–453, § 4(a), Oct. 24, 1990, 104 Stat. 1058.)","seq_in_title":211,"parent_identifier":"/us/usc/t31/stIII/ch33/schII","ancestors":[{"identifier":"/us/usc/t31","level":"title","num":"Title 31—","heading":"MONEY AND FINANCE","status":null,"is_section":false},{"identifier":"/us/usc/t31/stIII","level":"subtitle","num":"SUBTITLE III—","heading":"FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT","status":null,"is_section":false},{"identifier":"/us/usc/t31/stIII/ch33","level":"chapter","num":"CHAPTER 33—","heading":"DEPOSITING, KEEPING, AND PAYING MONEY","status":null,"is_section":false},{"identifier":"/us/usc/t31/stIII/ch33/schII","level":"subchapter","num":"SUBCHAPTER II—","heading":"PAYMENTS","status":null,"is_section":false}],"xml":"<section xmlns=\"http://xml.house.gov/schemas/uslm/1.0\" xmlns:xsi=\"http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance\" xmlns:dc=\"http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/\" xmlns:dcterms=\"http://purl.org/dc/terms/\" style=\"-uslm-lc:I80\" id=\"id22725021-3bf5-11e3-9fd0-985dd9cd422a\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t31/s3335\"><num value=\"3335\">§ 3335.</num><heading> Timely disbursement of Federal funds</heading><subsection style=\"-uslm-lc:I11\" class=\"indent0\" id=\"id22725022-3bf5-11e3-9fd0-985dd9cd422a\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t31/s3335/a\"><num value=\"a\">(a)</num><content> Each head of an executive agency (other than the Tennessee Valley Authority) shall, under such regulations as the Secretary of the Treasury shall prescribe, provide for the timely disbursement of Federal funds through cash, checks, electronic funds transfer, or any other means identified by the Secretary.</content>\n</subsection>\n<subsection style=\"-uslm-lc:I11\" class=\"indent0\" id=\"id22725023-3bf5-11e3-9fd0-985dd9cd422a\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t31/s3335/b\"><num value=\"b\">(b)</num><content> The Secretary may collect from any executive agency which does not comply with subsection (a) a charge in an amount the Secretary determines to be the cost to the general fund of the Treasury caused by such noncompliance.</content>\n</subsection>\n<subsection style=\"-uslm-lc:I11\" class=\"indent0\" id=\"id22725024-3bf5-11e3-9fd0-985dd9cd422a\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t31/s3335/c\"><num value=\"c\">(c)</num><content> The amounts of charges collected from an executive agency under this section shall be deposited in the Treasury and credited as miscellaneous receipts.</content>\n</subsection>\n<subsection style=\"-uslm-lc:I11\" class=\"indent0\" id=\"id22725025-3bf5-11e3-9fd0-985dd9cd422a\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t31/s3335/d\"><num value=\"d\">(d)</num><chapeau> Any charge assessed by the Secretary under this section, to the maximum extent practicable—</chapeau><paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"id22725026-3bf5-11e3-9fd0-985dd9cd422a\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t31/s3335/d/1\"><num value=\"1\">(1)</num><content> shall be paid out of appropriations available for executive agency operations; and</content>\n</paragraph>\n<paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"id22725027-3bf5-11e3-9fd0-985dd9cd422a\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t31/s3335/d/2\"><num value=\"2\">(2)</num><content> shall not be paid from amounts available for funding programs of an executive agency.</content>\n</paragraph>\n</subsection>\n<sourceCredit id=\"id22725028-3bf5-11e3-9fd0-985dd9cd422a\">(Added <ref href=\"/us/pl/101/453/s4/a\">Pub.
