Amounts—</chapeau><paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"id701f3e29-b854-11e9-b72c-a5fb66e51517\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t31/s5142/a/1\"><num value=\"1\">(1)</num><content> in the Fund are available to operate the Bureau of Engraving and Printing;</content>\n</paragraph>\n<paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"id701f3e2a-b854-11e9-b72c-a5fb66e51517\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t31/s5142/a/2\"><num value=\"2\">(2)</num><content> in the Fund remain available until expended; and</content>\n</paragraph>\n<paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"id701f3e2b-b854-11e9-b72c-a5fb66e51517\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t31/s5142/a/3\"><num value=\"3\">(3)</num><content> may be appropriated to the Fund.</content>\n</paragraph>\n</subsection>\n<subsection style=\"-uslm-lc:I11\" class=\"indent0\" id=\"id701f3e2c-b854-11e9-b72c-a5fb66e51517\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t31/s5142/b\"><num value=\"b\">(b)</num><chapeau> The Fund consists of—</chapeau><paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"id701f3e2d-b854-11e9-b72c-a5fb66e51517\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t31/s5142/b/1\"><num value=\"1\">(1)</num><content> property and physical assets (except buildings and land) acquired by the Bureau;</content>\n</paragraph>\n<paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"id701f3e2e-b854-11e9-b72c-a5fb66e51517\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t31/s5142/b/2\"><num value=\"2\">(2)</num><content> all amounts received by the Bureau; and</content>\n</paragraph>\n<paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"id701f3e2f-b854-11e9-b72c-a5fb66e51517\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t31/s5142/b/3\"><num value=\"3\">(3)</num><content> proceeds from the disposition of property and assets acquired by the Fund.</content>\n</paragraph>\n</subsection>\n<subsection style=\"-uslm-lc:I11\" class=\"indent0\" id=\"id701f3e30-b854-11e9-b72c-a5fb66e51517\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t31/s5142/c\"><num value=\"c\">(c)</num><chapeau> The capital of the Fund consists of—</chapeau><paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"id701f3e31-b854-11e9-b72c-a5fb66e51517\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t31/s5142/c/1\"><num value=\"1\">(1)</num><content> amounts appropriated to the Fund;</content>\n</paragraph>\n<paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"id701f3e32-b854-11e9-b72c-a5fb66e51517\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t31/s5142/c/2\"><num value=\"2\">(2)</num><content> physical assets of the Bureau (except buildings and land) as of the close of business <date date=\"1951-06-30\">June 30, 1951</date>; and</content>\n</paragraph>\n<paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"id701f3e33-b854-11e9-b72c-a5fb66e51517\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t31/s5142/c/3\"><num value=\"3\">(3)</num><content> all payments made after <date date=\"1974-06-30\">June 30, 1974</date>, under <ref href=\"/us/usc/t31/s5143\">section 5143 of this title</ref> at prices adjusted to permit buying capital equipment and to provide future working capital.</content>\n</paragraph>\n</subsection>\n<subsection style=\"-uslm-lc:I11\" class=\"indent0\" id=\"id701f3e34-b854-11e9-b72c-a5fb66e51517\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t31/s5142/d\"><num value=\"d\">(d)</num><content> The Secretary shall deposit each fiscal year, in the Treasury as miscellaneous receipts, amounts accruing to the Fund in the prior fiscal year that the Secretary decides are in excess of the needs of the Fund. However, the Secretary may use the excess amounts to restore capital of the Fund reduced by the difference between the charges for services of the Bureau and the cost of providing those services.</content>\n</subsection>\n<subsection style=\"-uslm-lc:I11\" class=\"indent0\" id=\"id701f3e35-b854-11e9-b72c-a5fb66e51517\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t31/s5142/e\"><num value=\"e\">(e)</num><content> The Secretary shall maintain a special deposit account in the Treasury for the Fund. The words “receivables and the inventories” are omitted as covered by “physical assets”. The words “unexpended balances of appropriations” are omitted as unnecessary because of clause (1).</p>\n<p style=\"-uslm-lc:I21\" class=\"indent0\">In subsection (c)(3), the words “$5,000,000, to remain available until expended” are omitted as unnecessary because of the source provision restated in subsection (a)(2) of this section.
