<section xmlns="http://xml.house.gov/schemas/uslm/1.0" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/" xmlns:dcterms="http://purl.org/dc/terms/" style="-uslm-lc:I80" id="id2637f1bf-0f21-11eb-9212-a1a9175aa019" identifier="/us/usc/t34/s10405"><num value="10405">§ 10405.</num><heading> Guidelines</heading><subsection style="-uslm-lc:I19" class="indent2 firstIndent-2" id="id2637f1c0-0f21-11eb-9212-a1a9175aa019" identifier="/us/usc/t34/s10405/a"><num value="a" class="bold">(a)</num><heading class="bold"> In general</heading><content><p style="-uslm-lc:I11" class="indent0">The Attorney General shall issue guidelines establishing procedures under which a State or specifically <ref class="footnoteRef" idref="fn002025">1</ref><note type="footnote" id="fn002025"><num>1</num> So in original. Probably should be “specially”.</note> qualified unit of local government that receives funds under <ref href="/us/usc/t34/s10404">section 10404 of this title</ref> is required to provide notice to the Attorney General regarding the proposed use of funds made available under this subchapter.</p>

<subsection style="-uslm-lc:I19" class="indent2 firstIndent-2" id="id2637f1c1-0f21-11eb-9212-a1a9175aa019" identifier="/us/usc/t34/s10405/b"><num value="b" class="bold">(b)</num><heading class="bold"> Advisory board</heading><paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I79" class="indent3 firstIndent-2" id="id2637f1c2-0f21-11eb-9212-a1a9175aa019" identifier="/us/usc/t34/s10405/b/1"><num value="1" class="bold">(1)</num><heading class="bold"> In general</heading><content><p style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1">The guidelines referred to in subsection (a) shall include a requirement that such eligible State or unit of local government establish and convene an advisory board to recommend a coordinated enforcement plan for the use of such funds.</p>

<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I79" class="indent3 firstIndent-2" id="id263818d3-0f21-11eb-9212-a1a9175aa019" identifier="/us/usc/t34/s10405/b/2"><num value="2" class="bold">(2)</num><heading class="bold"> Membership</heading><chapeau style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1">The board shall include representation from, if appropriate—</chapeau><subparagraph style="-uslm-lc:I13" class="indent2" id="id263818d4-0f21-11eb-9212-a1a9175aa019" identifier="/us/usc/t34/s10405/b/2/A"><num value="A">(A)</num><content> the State or local police department;</content>
</subparagraph>
<subparagraph style="-uslm-lc:I13" class="indent2" id="id263818d5-0f21-11eb-9212-a1a9175aa019" identifier="/us/usc/t34/s10405/b/2/B"><num value="B">(B)</num><content> the local sheriff’s department;</content>
</subparagraph>
<subparagraph style="-uslm-lc:I13" class="indent2" id="id263818d6-0f21-11eb-9212-a1a9175aa019" identifier="/us/usc/t34/s10405/b/2/C"><num value="C">(C)</num><content> the State or local prosecutor’s office;</content>
</subparagraph>
<subparagraph style="-uslm-lc:I13" class="indent2" id="id263818d7-0f21-11eb-9212-a1a9175aa019" identifier="/us/usc/t34/s10405/b/2/D"><num value="D">(D)</num><content> the State or local juvenile court;</content>
</subparagraph>
<subparagraph style="-uslm-lc:I13" class="indent2" id="id263818d8-0f21-11eb-9212-a1a9175aa019" identifier="/us/usc/t34/s10405/b/2/E"><num value="E">(E)</num><content> the State or local probation office;</content>
</subparagraph>
<subparagraph style="-uslm-lc:I13" class="indent2" id="id263818d9-0f21-11eb-9212-a1a9175aa019" identifier="/us/usc/t34/s10405/b/2/F"><num value="F">(F)</num><content> the State or local educational agency;</content>
</subparagraph>
<subparagraph style="-uslm-lc:I13" class="indent2" id="id263818da-0f21-11eb-9212-a1a9175aa019" identifier="/us/usc/t34/s10405/b/2/G"><num value="G">(G)</num><content> a State or local social service agency;</content>
</subparagraph>
<subparagraph style="-uslm-lc:I13" class="indent2" id="id263818db-0f21-11eb-9212-a1a9175aa019" identifier="/us/usc/t34/s10405/b/2/H"><num value="H">(H)</num><content> a nonprofit, nongovernmental victim advocacy organization; and</content>
</subparagraph>
<subparagraph style="-uslm-lc:I13" class="indent2" id="id263818dc-0f21-11eb-9212-a1a9175aa019" identifier="/us/usc/t34/s10405/b/2/I"><num value="I">(I)</num><content> a nonprofit, religious, or community group.</content>
