<section xmlns="http://xml.house.gov/schemas/uslm/1.0" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/" xmlns:dcterms="http://purl.org/dc/terms/" style="-uslm-lc:I80" id="id1528ce43-8160-11e9-8f35-c624b526f388" identifier="/us/usc/t34/s10498"><num value="10498">§ 10498.</num><heading> Definitions</heading>
<chapeau style="-uslm-lc:I11" class="indent0">For purposes of this subchapter—</chapeau><paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id1528ce44-8160-11e9-8f35-c624b526f388" identifier="/us/usc/t34/s10498/1"><num value="1">(1)</num><content> the term “family-friendly policy” means a policy to promote or improve the morale and well being of law enforcement personnel and their families; and</content>

<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id1528ce45-8160-11e9-8f35-c624b526f388" identifier="/us/usc/t34/s10498/2"><num value="2">(2)</num><content> the term “law enforcement personnel” means individuals employed by Federal, State, and local law enforcement agencies.</content>
