S, title V, § 502(5), Mar. 23, 2018, 132 Stat. 1131.)","seq_in_title":172,"parent_identifier":"/us/usc/t34/stI/ch101/schXXVI","ancestors":[{"identifier":"/us/usc/t34","level":"title","num":"Title 34—","heading":"CRIME CONTROL AND LAW ENFORCEMENT","status":null,"is_section":false},{"identifier":"/us/usc/t34/stI","level":"subtitle","num":"Subtitle I—","heading":"Comprehensive Acts","status":null,"is_section":false},{"identifier":"/us/usc/t34/stI/ch101","level":"chapter","num":"CHAPTER 101—","heading":"JUSTICE SYSTEM IMPROVEMENT","status":null,"is_section":false},{"identifier":"/us/usc/t34/stI/ch101/schXXVI","level":"subchapter","num":"SUBCHAPTER XXVI—","heading":"MATCHING GRANT PROGRAM FOR SCHOOL SECURITY","status":null,"is_section":false}],"xml":"<section xmlns=\"http://xml.house.gov/schemas/uslm/1.0\" xmlns:xsi=\"http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance\" xmlns:dc=\"http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/\" xmlns:dcterms=\"http://purl.org/dc/terms/\" style=\"-uslm-lc:I80\" id=\"id264c644d-0f21-11eb-9212-a1a9175aa019\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t34/s10555\"><num value=\"10555\">§ 10555.</num><heading> Authorization of appropriations</heading><subsection style=\"-uslm-lc:I19\" class=\"indent2 firstIndent-2\" id=\"id264c644e-0f21-11eb-9212-a1a9175aa019\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t34/s10555/a\"><num value=\"a\" class=\"bold\">(a)</num><heading class=\"bold\"> In general</heading><chapeau style=\"-uslm-lc:I11\" class=\"indent0\">There are authorized to be appropriated—</chapeau><paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"id264c644f-0f21-11eb-9212-a1a9175aa019\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t34/s10555/a/1\"><num value=\"1\">(1)</num><chapeau> $75,000,000 for fiscal year 2018, of which—</chapeau><subparagraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I13\" class=\"indent2\" id=\"id264c6450-0f21-11eb-9212-a1a9175aa019\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t34/s10555/a/1/A\"><num value=\"A\">(A)</num><content> $50,000,000 shall be made available to the BJA Director to carry out this subchapter; and</content>\n</subparagraph>\n<subparagraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I13\" class=\"indent2\" id=\"id264c8b61-0f21-11eb-9212-a1a9175aa019\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t34/s10555/a/1/B\"><num value=\"B\">(B)</num><content> $25,000,000 shall be made available to the COPS Director to carry out this subchapter; and</content>\n</subparagraph>\n</paragraph>\n<paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"id264c8b62-0f21-11eb-9212-a1a9175aa019\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t34/s10555/a/2\"><num value=\"2\">(2)</num><chapeau> $100,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2019 through 2028, of which, for each fiscal year—</chapeau><subparagraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I13\" class=\"indent2\" id=\"id264c8b63-0f21-11eb-9212-a1a9175aa019\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t34/s10555/a/2/A\"><num value=\"A\">(A)</num><content> $67,000,000 shall be made available to the BJA Director to carry out this subchapter; and</content>\n</subparagraph>\n<subparagraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I13\" class=\"indent2\" id=\"id264c8b64-0f21-11eb-9212-a1a9175aa019\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t34/s10555/a/2/B\"><num value=\"B\">(B)</num><content> $33,000,000 shall be made available to the COPS Director to carry out this subchapter.</content>\n</subparagraph>\n</paragraph>\n</subsection>\n<subsection style=\"-uslm-lc:I19\" class=\"indent2 firstIndent-2\" id=\"id264c8b65-0f21-11eb-9212-a1a9175aa019\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t34/s10555/b\"><num value=\"b\" class=\"bold\">(b)</num><heading class=\"bold\"> Offset</heading><content><p style=\"-uslm-lc:I11\" class=\"indent0\">Any funds appropriated for the Comprehensive School Safety Initiative of the National Institute of Justice in fiscal year 2018 shall instead be used for the purposes in subsection (a).</p>\n</content>\n</subsection>\n<sourceCredit id=\"id264c8b66-0f21-11eb-9212-a1a9175aa019\">(<ref href=\"/us/pl/90/351/tI/s2705\">Pub.
