<section xmlns="http://xml.house.gov/schemas/uslm/1.0" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/" xmlns:dcterms="http://purl.org/dc/terms/" style="-uslm-lc:I80" id="id264c644d-0f21-11eb-9212-a1a9175aa019" identifier="/us/usc/t34/s10555"><num value="10555">§ 10555.</num><heading> Authorization of appropriations</heading><subsection style="-uslm-lc:I19" class="indent2 firstIndent-2" id="id264c644e-0f21-11eb-9212-a1a9175aa019" identifier="/us/usc/t34/s10555/a"><num value="a" class="bold">(a)</num><heading class="bold"> In general</heading><chapeau style="-uslm-lc:I11" class="indent0">There are authorized to be appropriated—</chapeau><paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id264c644f-0f21-11eb-9212-a1a9175aa019" identifier="/us/usc/t34/s10555/a/1"><num value="1">(1)</num><chapeau> $75,000,000 for fiscal year 2018, of which—</chapeau><subparagraph style="-uslm-lc:I13" class="indent2" id="id264c6450-0f21-11eb-9212-a1a9175aa019" identifier="/us/usc/t34/s10555/a/1/A"><num value="A">(A)</num><content> $50,000,000 shall be made available to the BJA Director to carry out this subchapter; and</content>
</subparagraph>
<subparagraph style="-uslm-lc:I13" class="indent2" id="id264c8b61-0f21-11eb-9212-a1a9175aa019" identifier="/us/usc/t34/s10555/a/1/B"><num value="B">(B)</num><content> $25,000,000 shall be made available to the COPS Director to carry out this subchapter; and</content>

<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id264c8b62-0f21-11eb-9212-a1a9175aa019" identifier="/us/usc/t34/s10555/a/2"><num value="2">(2)</num><chapeau> $100,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2019 through 2028, of which, for each fiscal year—</chapeau><subparagraph style="-uslm-lc:I13" class="indent2" id="id264c8b63-0f21-11eb-9212-a1a9175aa019" identifier="/us/usc/t34/s10555/a/2/A"><num value="A">(A)</num><content> $67,000,000 shall be made available to the BJA Director to carry out this subchapter; and</content>
</subparagraph>
<subparagraph style="-uslm-lc:I13" class="indent2" id="id264c8b64-0f21-11eb-9212-a1a9175aa019" identifier="/us/usc/t34/s10555/a/2/B"><num value="B">(B)</num><content> $33,000,000 shall be made available to the COPS Director to carry out this subchapter.</content>

<subsection style="-uslm-lc:I19" class="indent2 firstIndent-2" id="id264c8b65-0f21-11eb-9212-a1a9175aa019" identifier="/us/usc/t34/s10555/b"><num value="b" class="bold">(b)</num><heading class="bold"> Offset</heading><content><p style="-uslm-lc:I11" class="indent0">Any funds appropriated for the Comprehensive School Safety Initiative of the National Institute of Justice in fiscal year 2018 shall instead be used for the purposes in subsection (a).</p>
