<section xmlns="http://xml.house.gov/schemas/uslm/1.0" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/" xmlns:dcterms="http://purl.org/dc/terms/" style="-uslm-lc:I80" id="id152d3af3-8160-11e9-8f35-c624b526f388" identifier="/us/usc/t34/s10612"><num value="10612">§ 10612.</num><heading> Prohibition of participation by violent offenders</heading>
<chapeau style="-uslm-lc:I11" class="indent0">The Attorney General shall—</chapeau><paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id152d3af4-8160-11e9-8f35-c624b526f388" identifier="/us/usc/t34/s10612/1"><num value="1">(1)</num><content> issue regulations or guidelines to ensure that the programs authorized in this subchapter do not permit participation by violent offenders; and</content>
</paragraph>
<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id152d3af5-8160-11e9-8f35-c624b526f388" identifier="/us/usc/t34/s10612/2"><num value="2">(2)</num><content> immediately suspend funding for any grant under this subchapter, pending compliance, if the Attorney General finds that violent offenders are participating in any program funded under this subchapter.</content>
