<section xmlns="http://xml.house.gov/schemas/uslm/1.0" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/" xmlns:dcterms="http://purl.org/dc/terms/" style="-uslm-lc:I80" id="id26832b99-0f21-11eb-9212-a1a9175aa019" identifier="/us/usc/t34/s11314"><num value="11314">§ 11314.</num><heading> Grants for tribal delinquency prevention and response programs</heading><subsection style="-uslm-lc:I19" class="indent2 firstIndent-2" id="id26832b9a-0f21-11eb-9212-a1a9175aa019" identifier="/us/usc/t34/s11314/a"><num value="a" class="bold">(a)</num><heading class="bold"> In general</heading><chapeau style="-uslm-lc:I11" class="indent0">The Administrator shall make grants under this section, on a competitive basis, to eligible Indian Tribes (or consortia of Indian Tribes) as described in subsection (b)—</chapeau><paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id26832b9b-0f21-11eb-9212-a1a9175aa019" identifier="/us/usc/t34/s11314/a/1"><num value="1">(1)</num><chapeau> to support and enhance—</chapeau><subparagraph style="-uslm-lc:I13" class="indent2" id="id26832b9c-0f21-11eb-9212-a1a9175aa019" identifier="/us/usc/t34/s11314/a/1/A"><num value="A">(A)</num><content> tribal juvenile delinquency prevention services; and</content>
</subparagraph>
<subparagraph style="-uslm-lc:I13" class="indent2" id="id26832b9d-0f21-11eb-9212-a1a9175aa019" identifier="/us/usc/t34/s11314/a/1/B"><num value="B">(B)</num><content> the ability of Indian Tribes to respond to, and care for, at-risk or delinquent youth upon release; and</content>
</subparagraph>
</paragraph>
<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id26832b9e-0f21-11eb-9212-a1a9175aa019" identifier="/us/usc/t34/s11314/a/2"><num value="2">(2)</num><content> to encourage accountability of Indian tribal governments with respect to preventing juvenile delinquency, and responding to, and caring for, juvenile offenders.</content>
</paragraph>
</subsection>
<subsection style="-uslm-lc:I19" class="indent2 firstIndent-2" id="id26832b9f-0f21-11eb-9212-a1a9175aa019" identifier="/us/usc/t34/s11314/b"><num value="b" class="bold">(b)</num><heading class="bold"> Eligible Indian Tribes</heading><content><p style="-uslm-lc:I11" class="indent0">To be eligible to receive a grant under this section, an Indian Tribe or consortium of Indian Tribes shall submit to the Administrator an application in such form as the Administrator may require.</p>

<subsection style="-uslm-lc:I19" class="indent2 firstIndent-2" id="id26832ba0-0f21-11eb-9212-a1a9175aa019" identifier="/us/usc/t34/s11314/c"><num value="c" class="bold">(c)</num><heading class="bold"> Considerations</heading><chapeau style="-uslm-lc:I11" class="indent0">In providing grants under this section, the Administrator shall take into consideration, with respect to the Indian Tribe to be served, the—</chapeau><paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id26832ba1-0f21-11eb-9212-a1a9175aa019" identifier="/us/usc/t34/s11314/c/1"><num value="1">(1)</num><content> juvenile delinquency rates;</content>
</paragraph>
<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id26832ba2-0f21-11eb-9212-a1a9175aa019" identifier="/us/usc/t34/s11314/c/2"><num value="2">(2)</num><content> school dropout rates; and</content>
</paragraph>
<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id26832ba3-0f21-11eb-9212-a1a9175aa019" identifier="/us/usc/t34/s11314/c/3"><num value="3">(3)</num><content> number of youth at risk of delinquency.</content>

<subsection style="-uslm-lc:I19" class="indent2 firstIndent-2" id="id26832ba4-0f21-11eb-9212-a1a9175aa019" identifier="/us/usc/t34/s11314/d"><num value="d" class="bold">(d)</num><heading class="bold"> Availability of funds</heading><content><p style="-uslm-lc:I11" class="indent0">Of the amount available for a fiscal year to carry out this subchapter, 11 percent shall be available to carry out this section.</p>
