or</content>\n</paragraph>\n<paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"id2685eb49-0f21-11eb-9212-a1a9175aa019\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t34/s12103/b/2\"><num value=\"2\">(2)</num><content> increased the average prison time actually served or the average percent of sentence served by persons convicted of a part 1 violent crime.</content>\n</paragraph>\n\n<continuation style=\"-uslm-lc:I10\" class=\"indent0 firstIndent0\">Receipt of grant amounts under this subsection does not preclude eligibility for a grant under subsection (c).</continuation>\n</subsection>\n<subsection style=\"-uslm-lc:I19\" class=\"indent2 firstIndent-2\" id=\"id2685eb4a-0f21-11eb-9212-a1a9175aa019\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t34/s12103/c\"><num value=\"c\" class=\"bold\">(c)</num><heading class=\"bold\"> Additional amount for increased rate of incarceration and percentage of sentence served</heading><chapeau style=\"-uslm-lc:I11\" class=\"indent0\">A State that received a grant under subsection (a) is eligible to receive additional grant amounts if such State demonstrates that the State has—</chapeau><paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"id2685eb4b-0f21-11eb-9212-a1a9175aa019\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t34/s12103/c/1\"><num value=\"1\">(1)</num><content> since 1993, increased the percentage of persons arrested for a part 1 violent crime sentenced to prison, and has increased the average percent of sentence served by persons convicted of a part 1 violent crime; or</content>\n</paragraph>\n<paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"id2685eb4c-0f21-11eb-9212-a1a9175aa019\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t34/s12103/c/2\"><num value=\"2\">(2)</num><content> has increased by 10 percent or more over the most recent 3-year period the number of new court commitments to prison of persons convicted of part 1 violent crimes.</content>\n</paragraph>\n\n<continuation style=\"-uslm-lc:I10\" class=\"indent0 firstIndent0\">Receipt of grant amounts under this subsection does not preclude eligibility for a grant under subsection (b).</continuation>\n</subsection>\n<sourceCredit id=\"id2685eb4d-0f21-11eb-9212-a1a9175aa019\">(<ref href=\"/us/pl/103/322/tII/s20103\">Pub.
