<section xmlns="http://xml.house.gov/schemas/uslm/1.0" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/" xmlns:dcterms="http://purl.org/dc/terms/" style="-uslm-lc:I80" id="id1577b1d6-8160-11e9-8f35-c624b526f388" identifier="/us/usc/t34/s20941"><num value="20941">§ 20941.</num><heading> Federal assistance with respect to violations of registration requirements</heading><subsection style="-uslm-lc:I19" class="indent2 firstIndent-2" id="id1577b1d7-8160-11e9-8f35-c624b526f388" identifier="/us/usc/t34/s20941/a"><num value="a" class="bold">(a)</num><heading class="bold"> In general</heading><content><p style="-uslm-lc:I11" class="indent0">The Attorney General shall use the resources of Federal law enforcement, including the United States Marshals Service, to assist jurisdictions in locating and apprehending sex offenders who violate sex offender registration requirements. For the purposes of <ref href="/us/usc/t28/s566/e/1/B">section 566(e)(1)(B) of title 28</ref>, a sex offender who violates a sex offender registration requirement shall be deemed a fugitive.</p>

<subsection style="-uslm-lc:I19" class="indent2 firstIndent-2" id="id1577b1d8-8160-11e9-8f35-c624b526f388" identifier="/us/usc/t34/s20941/b"><num value="b" class="bold">(b)</num><heading class="bold"> Authorization of appropriations</heading><content><p style="-uslm-lc:I11" class="indent0">There are authorized to be appropriated such sums as may be necessary for fiscal years 2007 through 2009 to implement this section.</p>
