L. 99–401, title I, § 105, Aug. 27, 1986, 100 Stat. 906.)","seq_in_title":663,"parent_identifier":"/us/usc/t34/stIV/ch413","ancestors":[{"identifier":"/us/usc/t34","level":"title","num":"Title 34—","heading":"CRIME CONTROL AND LAW ENFORCEMENT","status":null,"is_section":false},{"identifier":"/us/usc/t34/stIV","level":"subtitle","num":"Subtitle IV—","heading":"Criminal Records and Information","status":null,"is_section":false},{"identifier":"/us/usc/t34/stIV/ch413","level":"chapter","num":"CHAPTER 413—","heading":"CRIME REPORTS AND STATISTICS","status":null,"is_section":false}],"xml":"<section xmlns=\"http://xml.house.gov/schemas/uslm/1.0\" xmlns:xsi=\"http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance\" xmlns:dc=\"http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/\" xmlns:dcterms=\"http://purl.org/dc/terms/\" style=\"-uslm-lc:I80\" id=\"id1590b861-8160-11e9-8f35-c624b526f388\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t34/s41302\"><num value=\"41302\">§ 41302.</num><heading> Acquisition of statistical data on child abuse</heading><subsection style=\"-uslm-lc:I19\" class=\"indent2 firstIndent-2\" id=\"id1590b862-8160-11e9-8f35-c624b526f388\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t34/s41302/a\"><num value=\"a\" class=\"bold\">(a)</num><heading class=\"bold\"> Data acquisition for 1987 and 1988</heading><content><p style=\"-uslm-lc:I11\" class=\"indent0\">The Attorney General shall acquire from criminal justice agencies statistical data, for the calendar years 1987 and 1988, about the incidence of child abuse, including child sexual abuse, and shall publish annually a summary of such data.</p>\n</content>\n</subsection>\n<subsection style=\"-uslm-lc:I19\" class=\"indent2 firstIndent-2\" id=\"id1590df73-8160-11e9-8f35-c624b526f388\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t34/s41302/b\"><num value=\"b\" class=\"bold\">(b)</num><heading class=\"bold\"> Modification of uniform crime reporting program</heading><paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I11\" class=\"indent0\" id=\"id1590df74-8160-11e9-8f35-c624b526f388\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t34/s41302/b/1\"><num value=\"1\">(1)</num><content> As soon as practicable, but in no case later than <date date=\"1989-01-01\">January 1, 1989</date>, the Attorney General shall modify the uniform crime reporting program in the Federal Bureau of Investigation to include data on the age of the victim of the offense and the relationship, if any, of the victim to the offender, for types of offenses that may involve child abuse, including child sexual abuse.</content>\n</paragraph>\n<paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I11\" class=\"indent0\" id=\"id1590df75-8160-11e9-8f35-c624b526f388\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t34/s41302/b/2\"><num value=\"2\">(2)</num><chapeau> The modification, once made, shall remain in effect until the later of—</chapeau><subparagraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"id1590df76-8160-11e9-8f35-c624b526f388\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t34/s41302/b/2/A\"><num value=\"A\">(A)</num><content> 10 years after the date it is made; or</content>\n</subparagraph>\n<subparagraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"id1590df77-8160-11e9-8f35-c624b526f388\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t34/s41302/b/2/B\"><num value=\"B\">(B)</num><content> such ending date as may be set by the Attorney General.</content>\n</subparagraph>\n</paragraph>\n</subsection>\n<sourceCredit id=\"id1590df78-8160-11e9-8f35-c624b526f388\">(<ref href=\"/us/pl/99/401/tI/s105\">Pub.
