L. 107–217, Aug. 21, 2002, 116 Stat. 1137.)","seq_in_title":111,"parent_identifier":"/us/usc/t40/stI/ch13","ancestors":[{"identifier":"/us/usc/t40","level":"title","num":"Title 40—","heading":"PUBLIC BUILDINGS, PROPERTY, AND WORKS","status":null,"is_section":false},{"identifier":"/us/usc/t40/stI","level":"subtitle","num":"SUBTITLE I—","heading":"FEDERAL PROPERTY AND ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES","status":null,"is_section":false},{"identifier":"/us/usc/t40/stI/ch13","level":"chapter","num":"CHAPTER 13—","heading":"PUBLIC PROPERTY","status":null,"is_section":false}],"xml":"<section xmlns=\"http://xml.house.gov/schemas/uslm/1.0\" xmlns:xsi=\"http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance\" xmlns:dc=\"http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/\" xmlns:dcterms=\"http://purl.org/dc/terms/\" style=\"-uslm-lc:I80\" id=\"id387d4a4b-56ae-11e3-9436-86e561d18d41\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t40/s1310\"><num value=\"1310\">§ 1310.</num><heading> Sale of war supplies, land, and buildings</heading><subsection style=\"-uslm-lc:I11\" class=\"indent0\" id=\"id387f943c-56ae-11e3-9436-86e561d18d41\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t40/s1310/a\"><num value=\"a\">(a)</num><heading> <inline class=\"small-caps\">In General</inline>.—</heading><chapeau>The President, through the head of any executive department and on terms the head of the department considers expedient, may sell to a person, another department of the Federal Government, or the government of a foreign country engaged in war against a country with which the United States is at war—</chapeau><paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"id387f943d-56ae-11e3-9436-86e561d18d41\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t40/s1310/a/1\"><num value=\"1\">(1)</num><content> war supplies, material, and equipment;</content>\n</paragraph>\n<paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"id387f943e-56ae-11e3-9436-86e561d18d41\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t40/s1310/a/2\"><num value=\"2\">(2)</num><content> by-products of the war supplies, material, and equipment; and</content>\n</paragraph>\n<paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"id387f943f-56ae-11e3-9436-86e561d18d41\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t40/s1310/a/3\"><num value=\"3\">(3)</num><content> any building, plant, or factory, including the land on which the plant or factory may be situated, acquired since <date date=\"1917-04-06\">April 6, 1917</date>, for the production of war supplies, materials, and equipment that, during the emergency existing on <date date=\"1918-07-09\">July 9, 1918</date>, may have been purchased, acquired, or manufactured by the Government.</content>\n</paragraph>\n</subsection>\n<subsection style=\"-uslm-lc:I11\" class=\"indent0\" id=\"id387f9440-56ae-11e3-9436-86e561d18d41\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t40/s1310/b\"><num value=\"b\">(b)</num><heading> <inline class=\"small-caps\">Limitation on Sale of Guns and Ammunition</inline>.—</heading><chapeau>Sales of guns and ammunition authorized under any law shall be limited to—</chapeau><paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"id387f9441-56ae-11e3-9436-86e561d18d41\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t40/s1310/b/1\"><num value=\"1\">(1)</num><content> other departments of the Government;</content>\n</paragraph>\n<paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"id387f9442-56ae-11e3-9436-86e561d18d41\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t40/s1310/b/2\"><num value=\"2\">(2)</num><content> governments of foreign countries engaged in war against a country with which the United States is at war; and</content>\n</paragraph>\n<paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"id387f9443-56ae-11e3-9436-86e561d18d41\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t40/s1310/b/3\"><num value=\"3\">(3)</num><content> members of the National Rifle Association and of other recognized associations organized in the United States for the encouragement of small-arms target practice.</content>\n</paragraph>\n</subsection>\n<sourceCredit id=\"id387f9444-56ae-11e3-9436-86e561d18d41\">(<ref href=\"/us/pl/107/217\">Pub.
