L. 110–246, § 4(a), title XIV, § 14217(a)(2), June 18, 2008, 122 Stat. 1664, 2232.)","seq_in_title":382,"parent_identifier":"/us/usc/t40/stV/ch153","ancestors":[{"identifier":"/us/usc/t40","level":"title","num":"Title 40—","heading":"PUBLIC BUILDINGS, PROPERTY, AND WORKS","status":null,"is_section":false},{"identifier":"/us/usc/t40/stV","level":"subtitle","num":"SUBTITLE V—","heading":"REGIONAL ECONOMIC AND INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPMENT","status":null,"is_section":false},{"identifier":"/us/usc/t40/stV/ch153","level":"chapter","num":"CHAPTER 153—","heading":"REGIONAL COMMISSIONS","status":null,"is_section":false}],"xml":"<section xmlns=\"http://xml.house.gov/schemas/uslm/1.0\" xmlns:xsi=\"http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance\" xmlns:dc=\"http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/\" xmlns:dcterms=\"http://purl.org/dc/terms/\" style=\"-uslm-lc:I80\" id=\"idf0cdada7-b211-11e9-9941-df2837ad0631\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t40/s15302\"><num value=\"15302\">§ 15302.</num><heading> Decisions</heading><subsection style=\"-uslm-lc:I11\" class=\"indent0\" id=\"idf0cdada8-b211-11e9-9941-df2837ad0631\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t40/s15302/a\"><num value=\"a\">(a)</num><heading> <inline class=\"small-caps\">Requirements for Approval</inline>.—</heading><content>Except as provided in section 15304(c)(3), decisions by the Commission shall require the affirmative vote of the Federal Cochairperson and a majority of the State members (exclusive of members representing States delinquent under section 15304(c)(3)(C)).</content>\n</subsection>\n<subsection style=\"-uslm-lc:I11\" class=\"indent0\" id=\"idf0cdada9-b211-11e9-9941-df2837ad0631\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t40/s15302/b\"><num value=\"b\">(b)</num><heading> <inline class=\"small-caps\">Consultation</inline>.—</heading><content>In matters coming before the Commission, the Federal Cochairperson shall, to the extent practicable, consult with the Federal departments and agencies having an interest in the subject matter.</content>\n</subsection>\n<subsection style=\"-uslm-lc:I11\" class=\"indent0\" id=\"idf0cdadaa-b211-11e9-9941-df2837ad0631\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t40/s15302/c\"><num value=\"c\">(c)</num><heading> <inline class=\"small-caps\">Quorums</inline>.—</heading><chapeau>A Commission shall determine what constitutes a quorum for Commission meetings; except that—</chapeau><paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"idf0cdadab-b211-11e9-9941-df2837ad0631\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t40/s15302/c/1\"><num value=\"1\">(1)</num><content> any quorum shall include the Federal Cochairperson or the alternate Federal Cochairperson; and</content>\n</paragraph>\n<paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"idf0cdadac-b211-11e9-9941-df2837ad0631\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t40/s15302/c/2\"><num value=\"2\">(2)</num><content> a State alternate member shall not be counted toward the establishment of a quorum.</content>\n</paragraph>\n</subsection>\n<subsection style=\"-uslm-lc:I11\" class=\"indent0\" id=\"idf0cdadad-b211-11e9-9941-df2837ad0631\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t40/s15302/d\"><num value=\"d\">(d)</num><heading> <inline class=\"small-caps\">Projects and Grant Proposals</inline>.—</heading><content>The approval of project and grant proposals shall be a responsibility of each Commission and shall be carried out in accordance with section 15503.</content>\n</subsection>\n<sourceCredit id=\"idf0cdadae-b211-11e9-9941-df2837ad0631\">(Added <ref href=\"/us/pl/110/234/tXIV/s14217/a/2\">Pub.
