<subsection style="-uslm-lc:I11" class="indent0" id="idf0b28475-b211-11e9-9941-df2837ad0631" identifier="/us/usc/t40/s6702/b"><num value="b">(b)</num><heading> <inline class="small-caps">General Services Administration.—</inline></heading><paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="idf0b28476-b211-11e9-9941-df2837ad0631" identifier="/us/usc/t40/s6702/b/1"><num value="1">(1)</num><heading> <inline class="small-caps">Responsibilities</inline>.—</heading><chapeau>The responsibilities of the Corporation transferred to the Administration under subsection (a) include—</chapeau><subparagraph style="-uslm-lc:I13" class="indent2" id="idf0b28477-b211-11e9-9941-df2837ad0631" identifier="/us/usc/t40/s6702/b/1/A"><num value="A">(A)</num><chapeau> the collection of revenue owed the Federal Government as a result of real estate sales or lease agreements made by the Corporation and private parties, including—</chapeau><clause style="-uslm-lc:I14" class="indent3" id="idf0b28478-b211-11e9-9941-df2837ad0631" identifier="/us/usc/t40/s6702/b/1/A/i"><num value="i">(i)</num><content> the Willard Hotel property on Square 225;</content>

<clause style="-uslm-lc:I14" class="indent3" id="idf0b28479-b211-11e9-9941-df2837ad0631" identifier="/us/usc/t40/s6702/b/1/A/ii"><num value="ii">(ii)</num><content> the Gallery Row project on Square 457;</content>
</clause>
<clause style="-uslm-lc:I14" class="indent3" id="idf0b2847a-b211-11e9-9941-df2837ad0631" identifier="/us/usc/t40/s6702/b/1/A/iii"><num value="iii">(iii)</num><content> the Lansburgh’s project on Square 431; and</content>
</clause>
<clause style="-uslm-lc:I14" class="indent3" id="idf0b2847b-b211-11e9-9941-df2837ad0631" identifier="/us/usc/t40/s6702/b/1/A/iv"><num value="iv">(iv)</num><content> the Market Square North project on Square 407;</content>
</clause>
</subparagraph>
<subparagraph style="-uslm-lc:I13" class="indent2" id="idf0b2847c-b211-11e9-9941-df2837ad0631" identifier="/us/usc/t40/s6702/b/1/B"><num value="B">(B)</num><content> the collection of sale or lease revenue owed the Government from the sale or lease before <date date="1996-04-01">April 1, 1996</date>, of two undeveloped sites owned by the Corporation on Squares 457 and 406;</content>
</subparagraph>
<subparagraph style="-uslm-lc:I13" class="indent2" id="idf0b2847d-b211-11e9-9941-df2837ad0631" identifier="/us/usc/t40/s6702/b/1/C"><num value="C">(C)</num><content> the application of collected revenue to repay Treasury debt the Corporation incurred when acquiring real estate;</content>
</subparagraph>
<subparagraph style="-uslm-lc:I13" class="indent2" id="idf0b2847e-b211-11e9-9941-df2837ad0631" identifier="/us/usc/t40/s6702/b/1/D"><num value="D">(D)</num><content> performing financial audits for projects in which the Corporation has actual or potential revenue expectation, as identified in subparagraphs (A) and (B), in accordance with procedures described in applicable sale or lease agreements;</content>
</subparagraph>
<subparagraph style="-uslm-lc:I13" class="indent2" id="idf0b2847f-b211-11e9-9941-df2837ad0631" identifier="/us/usc/t40/s6702/b/1/E"><num value="E">(E)</num><content> the disposition of real estate properties which are or become available for sale and lease or other uses;</content>
</subparagraph>
<subparagraph style="-uslm-lc:I13" class="indent2" id="idf0b28480-b211-11e9-9941-df2837ad0631" identifier="/us/usc/t40/s6702/b/1/F"><num value="F">(F)</num><content> payment of benefits in accordance with the Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition Policies Act of 1970 (<ref href="/us/usc/t42/s4601">42 U.S.C. 4601</ref> et seq.) to which persons in the project area squares are entitled as a result of the Corporation’s acquisition of real estate; and</content>
</subparagraph>
<subparagraph style="-uslm-lc:I13" class="indent2" id="idf0b2ab91-b211-11e9-9941-df2837ad0631" identifier="/us/usc/t40/s6702/b/1/G"><num value="G">(G)</num><content> carrying out the responsibilities of the Corporation under subchapter III and the Federal Triangle Development Act (<ref href="/us/pl/100/113">Public Law 100–113</ref>, <ref href="/us/stat/101/735">101 Stat. 735</ref>), including responsibilities for managing assets and liabilities of the Corporation under subchapter III and the Act.</content>
</subparagraph>
</paragraph>
<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="idf0b2ab92-b211-11e9-9941-df2837ad0631" identifier="/us/usc/t40/s6702/b/2"><num value="2">(2)</num><heading> <inline class="small-caps">Powers</inline>.—</heading><chapeau>In carrying out the responsibilities of the Corporation transferred under this section, the Administrator of General Services may—</chapeau><subparagraph style="-uslm-lc:I13" class="indent2" id="idf0b2ab93-b211-11e9-9941-df2837ad0631" identifier="/us/usc/t40/s6702/b/2/A"><num value="A">(A)</num><content> acquire land, improvements, and property by purchase, lease or exchange, and sell, lease, or otherwise dispose of any property, as necessary to complete the development plan developed under section 5 of the Pennsylvania Avenue Development Corporation Act of 1972 (<ref href="/us/pl/92/578">Public Law 92–578</ref>, <ref href="/us/stat/86/1269">86 Stat. 1269</ref>) if a notice of intention to carry out the acquisition or disposal is first transmitted to the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure and the Committee on Appropriations of the House of Representatives and the Committee on Environment and Public Works and the Committee on Appropriations of the Senate and at least 60 days elapse after the date of the transmission;</content>
</subparagraph>
<subparagraph style="-uslm-lc:I13" class="indent2" id="idf0b2ab94-b211-11e9-9941-df2837ad0631" identifier="/us/usc/t40/s6702/b/2/B"><num value="B">(B)</num><content> modify the plan referred to in subparagraph (A) if the modification is first transmitted to the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure and the Committee on Appropriations of the House of Representatives and the Committee on Environment and Public Works and the Committee on Appropriations of the Senate and at least 60 days elapse after the date of the transmission;</content>
</subparagraph>
<subparagraph style="-uslm-lc:I13" class="indent2" id="idf0b2ab95-b211-11e9-9941-df2837ad0631" identifier="/us/usc/t40/s6702/b/2/C"><num value="C">(C)</num><content> maintain any existing Corporation insurance programs;</content>
</subparagraph>
<subparagraph style="-uslm-lc:I13" class="indent2" id="idf0b2ab96-b211-11e9-9941-df2837ad0631" identifier="/us/usc/t40/s6702/b/2/D"><num value="D">(D)</num><content> make and perform transactions with an agency or instrumentality of the Federal Government, a State, the District of Columbia, or any person as necessary to carry out the responsibilities of the Corporation under subchapter III and the Federal Triangle Development Act (<ref href="/us/pl/100/113">Public Law 100–113</ref>, <ref href="/us/stat/101/735">101 Stat. 735</ref>);</content>
</subparagraph>
<subparagraph style="-uslm-lc:I13" class="indent2" id="idf0b2d2a7-b211-11e9-9941-df2837ad0631" identifier="/us/usc/t40/s6702/b/2/E"><num value="E">(E)</num><content> request the Council of the District of Columbia to close any alleys necessary for the completion of development in Square 457; and</content>
</subparagraph>
<subparagraph style="-uslm-lc:I13" class="indent2" id="idf0b2d2a8-b211-11e9-9941-df2837ad0631" identifier="/us/usc/t40/s6702/b/2/F"><num value="F">(F)</num><content> use all of the amount transferred from the Corporation or income earned on Corporation property to complete any pending development projects.</content>
</subparagraph>
</paragraph>
</subsection>
<subsection style="-uslm-lc:I11" class="indent0" id="idf0b2d2a9-b211-11e9-9941-df2837ad0631" identifier="/us/usc/t40/s6702/c"><num value="c">(c)</num><heading> <inline class="small-caps">National Park Service.—</inline></heading><paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="idf0b2d2aa-b211-11e9-9941-df2837ad0631" identifier="/us/usc/t40/s6702/c/1"><num value="1">(1)</num><heading> <inline class="small-caps">Property</inline>.—</heading><content>The National Park Service has the right, title, and interest in and to the property located in the Pennsylvania Avenue National Historic Site, including the parks, plazas, sidewalks, special lighting, trees, sculpture, and memorials, depicted on a map entitled “Pennsylvania Avenue National Historic Park”, dated <date date="1995-06-01">June 1, 1995</date>, and numbered 840–82441. The map shall be on file and available for public inspection in the offices of the Service.</content>
</paragraph>
<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="idf0b2d2ab-b211-11e9-9941-df2837ad0631" identifier="/us/usc/t40/s6702/c/2"><num value="2">(2)</num><heading> <inline class="small-caps">Responsibilities</inline>.—</heading><content>The Service is responsible for management, administration, maintenance, law enforcement, visitor services, resource protection, interpretation, and historic preservation at the Site.</content>
</paragraph>
<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="idf0b2d2ac-b211-11e9-9941-df2837ad0631" identifier="/us/usc/t40/s6702/c/3"><num value="3">(3)</num><heading> <inline class="small-caps">Special events, festivals, concerts, or programs</inline>.—</heading><chapeau>The Service may—</chapeau><subparagraph style="-uslm-lc:I13" class="indent2" id="idf0b2d2ad-b211-11e9-9941-df2837ad0631" identifier="/us/usc/t40/s6702/c/3/A"><num value="A">(A)</num><content> make transactions with an agency or instrumentality of the Government, a State, the District of Columbia, or any person as considered necessary or appropriate for the conduct of special events, festivals, concerts, or other art and cultural programs at the Site; or</content>
</subparagraph>
<subparagraph style="-uslm-lc:I13" class="indent2" id="idf0b2d2ae-b211-11e9-9941-df2837ad0631" identifier="/us/usc/t40/s6702/c/3/B"><num value="B">(B)</num><content> establish a nonprofit foundation to solicit amounts for those activities.</content>
</subparagraph>
</paragraph>
<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="idf0b2d2af-b211-11e9-9941-df2837ad0631" identifier="/us/usc/t40/s6702/c/4"><num value="4">(4)</num><heading> <inline class="small-caps">Jurisdiction of district of columbia</inline>.—</heading><content>Jurisdiction of Pennsylvania Avenue and all other roadways from curb to curb remains with the District of Columbia but vendors are not permitted to occupy street space except during temporary special events.</content>
