L. 107–217, Aug. 21, 2002, 116 Stat. 1208.)","seq_in_title":264,"parent_identifier":"/us/usc/t40/stII/ptD/ch81/schIII","ancestors":[{"identifier":"/us/usc/t40","level":"title","num":"Title 40—","heading":"PUBLIC BUILDINGS, PROPERTY, AND WORKS","status":null,"is_section":false},{"identifier":"/us/usc/t40/stII","level":"subtitle","num":"SUBTITLE II—","heading":"PUBLIC BUILDINGS AND WORKS","status":null,"is_section":false},{"identifier":"/us/usc/t40/stII/ptD","level":"part","num":"PART D—","heading":"PUBLIC BUILDINGS, GROUNDS, AND PARKS IN THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA","status":null,"is_section":false},{"identifier":"/us/usc/t40/stII/ptD/ch81","level":"chapter","num":"CHAPTER 81—","heading":"ADMINISTRATIVE","status":null,"is_section":false},{"identifier":"/us/usc/t40/stII/ptD/ch81/schIII","level":"subchapter","num":"SUBCHAPTER III—","heading":"SERVICES FOR FACILITIES","status":null,"is_section":false}],"xml":"<section xmlns=\"http://xml.house.gov/schemas/uslm/1.0\" xmlns:xsi=\"http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance\" xmlns:dc=\"http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/\" xmlns:dcterms=\"http://purl.org/dc/terms/\" style=\"-uslm-lc:I80\" id=\"id38b8ccef-56ae-11e3-9436-86e561d18d41\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t40/s8143\"><num value=\"8143\">§ 8143.</num><heading> Heat</heading><subsection style=\"-uslm-lc:I11\" class=\"indent0\" id=\"id38b8ccf0-56ae-11e3-9436-86e561d18d41\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t40/s8143/a\"><num value=\"a\">(a)</num><heading> <inline class=\"small-caps\">Corcoran Gallery of Art</inline>.—</heading><chapeau>The Administrator of General Services may furnish heat from the central heating plant to the Corcoran Gallery of Art, if the Corcoran Gallery of Art agrees to—</chapeau><paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"id38b8ccf1-56ae-11e3-9436-86e561d18d41\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t40/s8143/a/1\"><num value=\"1\">(1)</num><content> pay for heat furnished at rates the Administrator determines; and</content>\n</paragraph>\n<paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"id38b8ccf2-56ae-11e3-9436-86e561d18d41\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t40/s8143/a/2\"><num value=\"2\">(2)</num><content> connect the building with the Federal Government mains in a manner satisfactory to the Administrator.</content>\n</paragraph>\n</subsection>\n<subsection style=\"-uslm-lc:I11\" class=\"indent0\" id=\"id38b8ccf3-56ae-11e3-9436-86e561d18d41\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t40/s8143/b\"><num value=\"b\">(b)</num><heading> <inline class=\"small-caps\">Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System</inline>.—</heading><chapeau>The Administrator may furnish steam from the central heating plant for the use of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System on the property which the Board acquired in squares east of 87 and east of 88 in the District of Columbia if the Board agrees to—</chapeau><paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"id38b8ccf4-56ae-11e3-9436-86e561d18d41\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t40/s8143/b/1\"><num value=\"1\">(1)</num><content> pay for the steam furnished at reasonable rates the Administrator determines but that are at least equal to cost; and</content>\n</paragraph>\n<paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"id38b8ccf5-56ae-11e3-9436-86e561d18d41\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t40/s8143/b/2\"><num value=\"2\">(2)</num><content> provide the necessary connections with the Government mains at its own expense and in a manner satisfactory to the Administrator.</content>\n</paragraph>\n</subsection>\n<subsection style=\"-uslm-lc:I11\" class=\"indent0\" id=\"id38b8ccf6-56ae-11e3-9436-86e561d18d41\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t40/s8143/c\"><num value=\"c\">(c)</num><heading> <inline class=\"small-caps\">Non-Federal Public Buildings</inline>.—</heading><content>The Administrator shall determine the rates to be paid for steam furnished to the Corcoran Gallery of Art, the Pan American Union Buildings, the American Red Cross Buildings, and other non-federal public buildings authorized to receive steam from the central heating plant.</content>\n</subsection>\n<sourceCredit id=\"id38b8ccf7-56ae-11e3-9436-86e561d18d41\">(<ref href=\"/us/pl/107/217\">Pub.
