<chapeau style="-uslm-lc:I11" class="indent0">For purposes of this chapter—</chapeau><paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id0b1b80bd-80bc-11ea-808b-a3be13bc391b" identifier="/us/usc/t42/s10903/1"><num value="1">(1)</num><content> the term “eligible individual” means a candidate for the Child Development Associate credential whose income does not exceed the <ref class="footnoteRef" idref="fn003901">1</ref><note type="footnote" id="fn003901"><num>1</num> So in original. <paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id0b1b80be-80bc-11ea-808b-a3be13bc391b" identifier="/us/usc/t42/s10903/2"><num value="2">(2)</num><content> the term “lower living standard income level” means that income level (adjusted for regional, metropolitan, urban, and rural differences and family size) determined annually by the Secretary of Labor and based on the most recent lower living family budget issued by the Secretary of Labor;</content>

<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="id0b1b80bf-80bc-11ea-808b-a3be13bc391b" identifier="/us/usc/t42/s10903/3"><num value="3">(3)</num><content> the term “Secretary” means the Secretary of Health and Human Services; and</content>
