The Director shall establish the amount of the allowance at any amount not in excess of the amount equal to 100 percent of the poverty line that is applicable to a family of two (as defined by the Office of Management and Budget and revised annually in accordance with <ref href=\"/us/usc/t42/s9902/2\">section 9902(2) of this title</ref>.<ref class=\"footnoteRef\" idref=\"fn003989\">1</ref><note type=\"footnote\" id=\"fn003989\"><num>1</num> So in original. A closing parenthesis probably should precede the period.</note></p>\n</content>\n</subsection>\n<subsection style=\"-uslm-lc:I19\" class=\"indent2 firstIndent-2\" id=\"idd8d26f07-406b-11eb-bd25-fd7436c081d8\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s12618/c\"><num value=\"c\" class=\"bold\">(c)</num><heading class=\"bold\"> Other authorized benefits</heading><chapeau style=\"-uslm-lc:I11\" class=\"indent0\">While receiving training or engaging in service projects as members of the National Civilian Community Corps, members may be provided the following benefits, as the Director determines appropriate:</chapeau><paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"idd8d26f08-406b-11eb-bd25-fd7436c081d8\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s12618/c/1\"><num value=\"1\">(1)</num><content> Allowances for travel expenses, personal expenses, and other expenses.</content>\n</paragraph>\n<paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"idd8d26f09-406b-11eb-bd25-fd7436c081d8\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s12618/c/2\"><num value=\"2\">(2)</num><content> Quarters.</content>\n</paragraph>\n<paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"idd8d26f0a-406b-11eb-bd25-fd7436c081d8\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s12618/c/3\"><num value=\"3\">(3)</num><content> Subsistence.</content>\n</paragraph>\n<paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"idd8d26f0b-406b-11eb-bd25-fd7436c081d8\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s12618/c/4\"><num value=\"4\">(4)</num><content> Transportation.</content>\n</paragraph>\n<paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"idd8d26f0c-406b-11eb-bd25-fd7436c081d8\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s12618/c/5\"><num value=\"5\">(5)</num><content> Equipment.</content>\n</paragraph>\n<paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"idd8d26f0d-406b-11eb-bd25-fd7436c081d8\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s12618/c/6\"><num value=\"6\">(6)</num><content> Uniforms.</content>\n</paragraph>\n<paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"idd8d26f0e-406b-11eb-bd25-fd7436c081d8\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s12618/c/7\"><num value=\"7\">(7)</num><content> Supplies.</content>\n</paragraph>\n<paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"idd8d26f0f-406b-11eb-bd25-fd7436c081d8\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s12618/c/8\"><num value=\"8\">(8)</num><content> Other services determined by the Director to be consistent with the purposes of the Program.</content>\n</paragraph>\n</subsection>\n<subsection style=\"-uslm-lc:I19\" class=\"indent2 firstIndent-2\" id=\"idd8d26f10-406b-11eb-bd25-fd7436c081d8\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s12618/d\"><num value=\"d\" class=\"bold\">(d)</num><heading class=\"bold\"> Supportive services</heading><content><p style=\"-uslm-lc:I11\" class=\"indent0\">As the Director determines appropriate, the Director may provide each member of the Corps with health care services, child care services, counseling services, and other supportive services.</p>\n</content>\n</subsection>\n<subsection style=\"-uslm-lc:I19\" class=\"indent2 firstIndent-2\" id=\"idd8d26f11-406b-11eb-bd25-fd7436c081d8\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s12618/e\"><num value=\"e\" class=\"bold\">(e)</num><heading class=\"bold\"> Post-service benefits</heading><content><p style=\"-uslm-lc:I11\" class=\"indent0\">Upon completion of the agreed period of service with the Corps, a member shall elect to receive the educational assistance under subsection (f) or the cash benefit under subsection (g).</p>\n</content>\n</subsection>\n<subsection style=\"-uslm-lc:I19\" class=\"indent2 firstIndent-2\" id=\"idd8d26f12-406b-11eb-bd25-fd7436c081d8\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s12618/f\"><num value=\"f\" class=\"bold\">(f)</num><heading class=\"bold\"> National service educational awards</heading><chapeau style=\"-uslm-lc:I11\" class=\"indent0\">A Corps member who successfully completes a period of agreed service in the Corps may receive the national service educational award described in division D if the Corps member—</chapeau><paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"idd8d26f13-406b-11eb-bd25-fd7436c081d8\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s12618/f/1\"><num value=\"1\">(1)</num><content> serves in an approved national service position; and</content>\n</paragraph>\n<paragraph style=\"-uslm-lc:I12\" class=\"indent1\" id=\"idd8d26f14-406b-11eb-bd25-fd7436c081d8\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s12618/f/2\"><num value=\"2\">(2)</num><content> satisfies the eligibility requirements specified in <ref href=\"/us/usc/t42/s12602\">section 12602 of this title</ref> with respect to service in that approved national service position.</content>\n</paragraph>\n</subsection>\n<subsection style=\"-uslm-lc:I19\" class=\"indent2 firstIndent-2\" id=\"idd8d26f15-406b-11eb-bd25-fd7436c081d8\" identifier=\"/us/usc/t42/s12618/g\"><num value=\"g\" class=\"bold\">(g)</num><heading class=\"bold\"> Alternative benefit</heading><content><p style=\"-uslm-lc:I11\" class=\"indent0\">If a Corps member who successfully completes a period of agreed service in the Corps is ineligible for the national service educational award described in division D, the Director may provide for the provision of a suitable alternative benefit for the Corps member.</p>\n</content>\n</subsection>\n<sourceCredit id=\"idd8d26f16-406b-11eb-bd25-fd7436c081d8\">(<ref href=\"/us/pl/101/610/tI/s158\">Pub.
