<section xmlns="http://xml.house.gov/schemas/uslm/1.0" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/" xmlns:dcterms="http://purl.org/dc/terms/" style="-uslm-lc:I80" id="idd8d4e147-406b-11eb-bd25-fd7436c081d8" identifier="/us/usc/t42/s12643"><num value="12643">§ 12643.</num><heading> Rights of access, examination, and copying</heading><subsection style="-uslm-lc:I19" class="indent2 firstIndent-2" id="idd8d4e148-406b-11eb-bd25-fd7436c081d8" identifier="/us/usc/t42/s12643/a"><num value="a" class="bold">(a)</num><heading class="bold"> Comptroller General</heading><chapeau style="-uslm-lc:I11" class="indent0">Consistent with otherwise applicable law, the Comptroller General, or any of the duly authorized representatives of the Comptroller General, shall have access to, and the right to examine and copy, any books, documents, papers, records, and other recorded information in any form—</chapeau><paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="idd8d4e149-406b-11eb-bd25-fd7436c081d8" identifier="/us/usc/t42/s12643/a/1"><num value="1">(1)</num><content> within the possession or control of the Corporation or any State or local government, territory, Indian tribe, or public or private nonprofit organization receiving assistance directly or indirectly under this chapter; and</content>
</paragraph>
<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="idd8d4e14a-406b-11eb-bd25-fd7436c081d8" identifier="/us/usc/t42/s12643/a/2"><num value="2">(2)</num><content> that the Comptroller General, or his representative, considers necessary to the performance of an evaluation, audit, or review.</content>

<subsection style="-uslm-lc:I19" class="indent2 firstIndent-2" id="idd8d4e14b-406b-11eb-bd25-fd7436c081d8" identifier="/us/usc/t42/s12643/b"><num value="b" class="bold">(b)</num><heading class="bold"> Chief Financial Officer</heading><chapeau style="-uslm-lc:I11" class="indent0">Consistent with otherwise applicable law, the Chief Financial Officer of the Corporation shall have access to, and the right to examine and copy, any books, documents, papers, records, and other recorded information in any form—</chapeau><paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="idd8d4e14c-406b-11eb-bd25-fd7436c081d8" identifier="/us/usc/t42/s12643/b/1"><num value="1">(1)</num><content> within the possession or control of the Corporation or any State or local government, territory <ref class="footnoteRef" idref="fn003996">1</ref><note type="footnote" id="fn003996"><num>1</num> So in original. <subsection style="-uslm-lc:I19" class="indent2 firstIndent-2" id="idd8d4e14e-406b-11eb-bd25-fd7436c081d8" identifier="/us/usc/t42/s12643/c"><num value="c" class="bold">(c)</num><heading class="bold"> Inspector General</heading><chapeau style="-uslm-lc:I11" class="indent0">Consistent with otherwise applicable law, the Inspector General of the Corporation shall have access to, and the right to examine and copy, any books, documents, papers, records, and other recorded information in any form—</chapeau><paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="idd8d4e14f-406b-11eb-bd25-fd7436c081d8" identifier="/us/usc/t42/s12643/c/1"><num value="1">(1)</num><content> within the possession or control of the Corporation or any State or local government, territory, Indian tribe, or public or private nonprofit organization receiving assistance directly or indirectly under the national service laws; and</content>
</paragraph>
<paragraph style="-uslm-lc:I12" class="indent1" id="idd8d4e150-406b-11eb-bd25-fd7436c081d8" identifier="/us/usc/t42/s12643/c/2"><num value="2">(2)</num><chapeau> that relates to—</chapeau><subparagraph style="-uslm-lc:I13" class="indent2" id="idd8d4e151-406b-11eb-bd25-fd7436c081d8" identifier="/us/usc/t42/s12643/c/2/A"><num value="A">(A)</num><content> such assistance; and</content>
</subparagraph>
<subparagraph style="-uslm-lc:I13" class="indent2" id="idd8d4e152-406b-11eb-bd25-fd7436c081d8" identifier="/us/usc/t42/s12643/c/2/B"><num value="B">(B)</num><content> the duties of the Inspector General under the Inspector General Act of 1978 (5 U.S.C. App.).</content>
